Seems the interest in thorium has declined:

Last time I read, they were about the same distance away from a functional reactor as fusion.

If anyone knows more about this, I'd like to hear.

China is actually really accelerating it's nuclear power industry as well

That's the first commercial Gen 4 nuclear power anywhere in the world and it's in China.

A nice trial, and if it works even at 50% projections it is still viable.
