This is definitely part of the value proposition for autonomous vehicles - around 94% of crashes involve human errors, so while there may still be fatalities in an autonomous vehicle world, you can expect a huge reduction in overall crashes. Big cost and social savings to society, plus potentially massive reduction in insurance premiums.

What I'm hoping for is the reduction of fuckers travelling at 100k in the middle lane on an empty freeway :D
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

What freeway are you at? I'd breathe fire on the neck of someone doing 80 in the middle lane... :D

I definitely think I would trust a self-driving car more so than most crazy drivers I see out there. The lack of the human aspect does however frighten me.
But in 15 years time or something, I imagine the notion of people driving cars will be laughable!
