'Stupid of the week' nominations

Post by w00dsy »

Since the objective of this forum is fun, lets have a stupid of the week every week. It has to be one of us. Nominate either yourself or another forum member and they get their very own 'stoopid of the week' tag for the week.

Nomination 1, me. Today i discovered that a car lacking performance can be fixed by releasing the handbrake. This caused a sudden surge in forward montion whislt driving. It was like hitting the nitrous button.

Nomination 2, Norbs. Not long ago in msn messenger.
norbs: does the month end on the 31st?
Jason: please tell me your joking
I'll make a special little award like the admin types we have. :)

Actually, norbs' quote isn't that stupid when you consider that 4 of them end on the 30th, and one varies between the 28th and 29th.
After all, if he was waiting for the 31st of June to invoice somebody, they'd get off pretty cheaply :p

A mate a few days ago asked what 5% of 100 was. :D

As for myself, I cannot think of anything yet. I will get back to you.

One of Rod's mates carried a bag of underlay up a flight of stairs and back down another one when he could have walked 5m and covered the same distance.

Yeah that was pretty funny wasn't it. I even watched you, er, him do it and didn't click till afterwards that he was on the ground floor, walked back upstais, outside and down another staircase to get back to the ground again

Bored on nightduty the other night, so me and some of the nurses decide to have some fun with the plaster trolley, I plaster up a nurses right arm, then another nurse does mine, amusing, we both let the plaster dry and start banging out arms against solid objects (7th night straight, brain is not working well). After a few mins we decide we've had enough and the real fun bit of removing the plaster with the plaster saw is out next challenge, I grab the saw and wire it up 1 handed only to realise theres no saw blades available, f--k! Frantic 5 minutes of searching fails to find any, so me and the nurse have to sneak around to the emerg department and use their saw to get the plaster off, luckily the senior bitch on duty never noticed us...

well upon coming out of the video store once i paniced when i noticed the car keys were not in my pants pockets! having no way to get into the car i had to call my parents who drove over with the RACQ stuff and also attempted for 15mins to jimmy open the door with assorted tools before calling the RACQ up and wait 15mins for him to turn up and jimmy open the lock.

as i walked back to my parents car to put the tools back in it i noticed a jingling noise. the keys were in my pant's back pocket

ROFL! I do that at LEAST once a week. I don't feel so bad now. It's some weird physical anomaly i think - the LAST place you'd think to look for something is in your damn hand.

alrighty this happened to a mate of mine....not once but twice.

Righty. After graduation my mate brought a spare t-shirt to go clubbing with. Now, first he thought just shove it in the pockets since they were large enough, but later on put it on himself (incase it fell out of the pocket). Now later on, walking around, he suddenly stopped and said..."shit where's my t-shirt, i think it fell out of my pocket". Frantically looking around, his sister stopped him...looked at him empty faced...a pointed. "your wearing it you moron".
