You'll have to ask Hz.

No doubt there is an interesting and most likely disgusting story behind it :)

No real significance I don't think, but I may just not remember, it's been so damn long since I made it!

There seems to have been quite a lot of attention put into this update to Westhill.

Something like this to Assetto Corsa's detail levels would be amazing.

I've only drive a tiny portion of the off track area. It's huge. Two Kart tracks, and a whole lot of other stuff. The new layout is nice and flowing.

And that Autocross layout potential.

Had a play..

400+ fps lol, I remember when I was struggling to get 40+

Its amazing how much better ac looks in comparison and how floaty the physics seem in LFS now.

I really cant understand why they are even bothering!

They upped the grid size to 40 now...

I remember when we had to split the servers at that sort of number.

They have actually done a really good job of westhill, its like an open world racing complex. Good fun taking the mrt out to the kart track :)

But yeah, cant really be much point as far as trying to progress a pretty much dead game and I see it as the devs playing with their hobby rather than a serious attempt at revival

You know...I've been fuming over this since r8's post yesterday.

Those fuck'n LFS Devs have fucked us all over. They had just one job to do in the last 4 years and that was make the in-game grass at Westhill resemble something approaching the physical attributes of actual grass.

...and what have they done?, nothing. Fookin prawn carnts.

That's it. I'll show 'em. I'm not using LFS ever again. If they had fixed the grass at westhill, I could have perfected all my laps at all the circuits in all the cars and been world champion at everything. They didn't fix that grass, so the whole thing is fucked and I'm throwing it all out the window, along with the baby that was in its bath water (although this might be a figurative reference).

Fuckers. I see what everyone else has been talking about now. About how the LFS devs have ruined the LFS sim, making it unplayable by not adding to it, those filthy toe rags....and I think I want my GBP24 back now that I think about it. I clearly didn't get my money's worth.

Yeah, I hate LFS too now, it's shit.

Maybe if they made the wheels stick to the road surface, eventhough you're flying through the air like in AC, I might be persuaded to revise my view, but I think the likelihood that we could get such an enhancement is remote.
