Life is like a grindstone - whether it grinds you down or polishes you up depends on what you're made of.
You only need two tools.WD-40 and Duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should use WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't use the tape.

:) Hello!

Glad i found this thread before i started a new one.

So, i've just recently bought my S2 licence, upgraded straight from the demo which i've been playing for about 3 or 4 months now.

A little bit about me? Well, the name is Adam, i'm 22, from Sydney, i'm obsessed with cars and modifying them, love computers (why else would i be here?) and i consider myself a bit of a design connoisseur (i'm not top shelf, but i love it). I love desiging things in Photoshop, and am just starting to get into 3D modelling and rendering with 3DSMax. I love music (playing and recording), long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners, poems, losing my train of thought etc etc.

My ride in real life is a 1986 Series 4 RX7 13B Turbo which i've now owned for over 2.5 years, for which i've driven it for two months. Then, took it off the road to fully restore it  2 years later it's just about ready to be resprayed. It's had a full engine and driveline conversion, full S5 interior swap, converted to a S5 exterior wise, it's basically been fully rebuilt. I have been scouring the globe for new replacement parts for it for so long now, and it's almost together. Now it just needs a spray job and she's ready for the road again :D

As for LFS, yeah i'm looking for a few lads to race with. I like being a part of teams/clans in gaming as it just brings the game to a whole new and fun level. My skill? Well, the best lap i've done on Blackwood with the XRT is a 1:28, and i average 1:30-32 depending on how much sleep i've had :p . I am using the stock controls with mouse and keyboard, manual clutch... which i plan on updating once the Logitech G25 is released in October :D. I would consider myself more of a joker then a serious gamer, but i know when to wipe the smile off my face and hold the mouse tight if you know what i mean.

So if i sound like what any of the teams are looking for, gimme a hoy, and/or add me to your buddy list on LFSworld (game name is Shinanigans).

Cheers,
Adam.

My nephew had the same, not sure exactly what work he had done to it........................ horribly unreliable, extremely thirsty, a rear mugrel to get down into but ludicrously fast :freaked:

mine's been way more reliable than the poxy commodore I did own and the falcon I still own... 11L/100 highway and 14L/100 city isn't *too* bad for an old turbo thing either.

Mine wasn't too bad, Dont have it now unfortunately, got a beast of a patrol short wheel base with 3 inch lift a 33" baja claws :D nothing extreme but fun in the mud ;) anyway I hardly had any problems with mine, only a few minor ones nothing major though, was a great car to drive, everything fitted and was in the right spot.

Welcome to S2 Shinanigans! Hope your enjoying it! :)

Best thing you can do is sign up to the AAL/MNR races and show us what you've got. If you seem like a good (fair, clean, respectful) someone will pick you up. Just get to know some people around here before you make your decision.

Welcome, hope you have fun.

i'm on the lookout for a team. I played a fair bit during the beta but never realy got into the game since then. Hopefully I will see some of you at some organised races, work permitting. I have a race car I like to drive, but lfs is definately alot less expensive :p
