Wasn't too fussed with GTA4. A lot of the missions were quite samey, too much shooting, and a lot of the 'extras' seem to have been dropped. There wasn't as much interest in going out and exploring stuff cos there wasn't anything to find.

GTA:SA was definitely more open and had more to explore and do, but I did like GTA IV as well... just for different reasons I think. Still very very interested to see what they do with #5.. just hope its available on PC.

I read it somewhere online, but rockstar said GTA was always going to be on PC at some stage. Red Dead Redemption was going to remain a console priority

If they bring back things like purchasing houses/businesses and the ability to mod/paint cars how you want them and remove things like friends texting you to do shit and pick them up within an hour I'll be happy. The whole friend management shit annoys me. :)

I missed things like the flying and boat schools.

GTA4 had some nice locations but you couldn't do anything in them. You had a huge airport but you can go in it unless you want a 5 star wanted level. No flying missions, no boat missions. I think it severely restricted the need for the world you were in.

Hopefully they do a much better PC version, GTA 4 on the PC was a horrible console port.

I also hope they make the multiplayer a lot better, dedicated servers and a proper server browser would be a good start

I never had any issues with the PC version like others seemed to. But having said that, I didn't get it till late, and there were many patches by that stage.

Wonder if the "five" font and "V" are a giveaway of the setting on this one? Got a bit of a 50's/60's style vibe going on, almost a sailor tattoo sorta style. Could be interesting! (Or I could be way off! )

Well, they could do it as a 50's style game as L.A. Noire was based in 1947... not to much would have changed since then :p

Speaking of L.A. Noire, it comes to PC in November. Still no news of Red Dead Redemption coming to PC but having them both on my PS3 means I'm not that fussy about it.

Edit: Actually, looking at replies from Rockstar staff there still is no plans for RDR to be released on PC.

50's/60's style and modding cars just reminded me of Street Rod - damn I loved that game

Hoping it's better than 4 - at least there wont be any texting if it's back in the 50's :D

My main hope is they do away with the "take your cousin bowling!" missions

I think they would have learn't a lot of lessons from GTA IV. People loved San Andreas, IV was a leap in tech. I think V will deliver nicely.

I am looking forward to this!

Purely based on the green in the logo - perhaps this one will be based in Ireland? That'd be cool.

GTA.. had made improvements to the handling but it still felt like StreetRod.

Been playing vice city since the announcment and finaly got around to putting 4 on my new PC, able to play it at full graphics, its quite amazing, using a realistic handling and enhanced damage mod and its fan-flippin-tastic
