Re: Grand Theft Auto V
JB had a pallet of GTA V discs behind the counter, at 9:40 I was the second person in town to buy it.
Manual has a code to put $500k in online and story mode, so according to you guys I should be able to buy a pushbike.
install is around 20 minutes a disc, thank god for audiobooks!

Let us know how the performance is.
I can't imagine I'll have any issues running it, but the last GTA was pretty poorly optimized for PC.
Fingers crossed it all runs well.

Alot of people on steam forums saying its quite good on resources. Of course theres a.few.exceptions of 12 year olds running outdated pc's bagging it. But your PC should belt ultra out of the park Righty

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Got an extra 200K in online, preorder bonus applies to discs too, apparently.
DVD's give 55gb of the 60gb install, so if you bought the DVD to avoid a long download, you saved a bit of time...

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
The devs said unlike previous ports this was always intended for PC and new gen console release so was built from the ground up for PC, I'm hoping optimisation should be quite good.

There are plenty of options to fiddle with to get yourself a good frame rate. My PC is only a couple of months old, so obviously it runs fairly well.Bails MacKenzie wrote:at this rate, can you guys tell me how it runs on pc?
There is no comparison when it comes to optimisation between GTA IV and GTA V. They've done a brilliant job. For $39 it's been more than worth it

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Wish I could enjoy games other than online racing sims. I tried really hard to enjoy GTA V, I cant see any reason why not too... but I couldn't.
Multiplayer with people I know might be a completely different story.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
That's pretty much how I feel these days with racing sims... Really try hard to get into them, and I lose interest in a few weeks. I think I burnt myself out years ago.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
3hrs of installing off DVD's via a Usb 2.0 drive and now a 5gb update to bring it all up to the 60gb.
At least I'll be playing tonight.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Looks very pretty. Running rather smooth with everything maxed.
Specs: i5 4690
16gb ddr3 1600
MSI gtx970 4G
A few slight jitters here and there so will probably slowly drop some settings until they disappear.
Heaps of people on steam talking about FPS. Anyone know how I can find out what FPS im getting?
EDIT: Found the FPS counter in steam settings. Getting a solid 40fps when driving and 60 when walking around.
