We still play Q man. I was on the other night and fell off a roof and lost my stuff. Managed to get a lot of it back while the guys guarded it for me. We went to the NE airfield and some guy shot at me... I stood there and just took it... I knew I wasn't going to be able to shoot him so close with my scoped rifle. I kinda just hoped he'd stop when he realised I wasn't shooting back. I think he was low on ammo because he stopped shooting. Then started to move towards me with his axe. About half a second before he finished me off, Jeremy runs into the room and blasts him away with an M4. It was so heroic haha. I couldn't believe how fast he was on the trigger. I'd have hesitated for at least a second to make sure I was shooting the right person. He saved my arse big time. The guy had so much gear too, he must have been so pissed off. A bit of a shame almost everything he had was ruined by the time Jez was done with him lol.

Many changes for this latest update. Has somewhat changed my style of play. Instead of looking for weapons, I find myself seeking items to survive in the wild, ie knives to skin animals, pots to cook with, matches etc. These items seem more abundant in smaller towns, which is good to get away from the previous hotspots.


For those interested, I have copied the log below.

Occaisionally zombies are spawning at the same spot they died

Installed new update.
Lost my guy and all his gear.
New spawn. OK, not unexpected.
Got beaten up by a Z while still waiting at the black screen. Think to myself that that's not really fair.
Spent a couple of hours collecting new gear.
Figure out where I am.
Form a new plan. Commit to memory.
Exit.
Log in a few days later.
Old guy brought back to life with all the old gear and in the old place on the map.
Disappointed not to have some of the recent gear.
Get confused about which plan I'm now following.
Log out to consider just what the hell I'm doing and have my alzheimer's checked.

Durrie, that's life! Dayz style, i'm hearing you.

Dex, I wacked a cow with an axe, just to see the outcome, surprise, surprise, I killed it!! I gingerly looked around to see if any one witnessed my brutal outburst, then slinked away from the carcass, as I had no implement to carve it up. . . woops.
My guy now, is ready for a fire and cook off. Just need to find me a deer or cow, or pig. It's been a few days since I played, i'm hoping I still have what I need.

Will be having a crack tonight, and definitely Thursday. Keep your eye out for Ned Kelly.

I've been running around the forests, crossbow, knife, pistol, fire kit, drinking from ponds, camo outfit, eating steak, keeping my health strong and hydrated.
Recently I discovered that the M4 scopes fit my crossbow, so I figured a trip to the camps of NWAF would net me a high powered scope, which in turn, will increase my stealth ability.

Last nights adventure started on a full server, my senses were on full alert. I decided to make the long journey to the NWAF. I came within 2kms of the fields, when I noticed 2 geared survivors up ahead amongst the same section of forest I was in. I crouched among the grasses and held tight. Within a few minutes, one of them headed out of the forest and up the hill off to my left, 1 minute later, his mate followed. What were they up too?
I layed in the grass, keeping my eyes in their general direction. Had they seen me? Was I being flanked? It wasn't long before I got my answer.
I spotted one of them, crouched, a long way off, my crossbow was of no good at that distance. Could he see me? It was a good 2 minutes, with no movement from either of us, suddenly a shot rang out, hitting the ground to my left. I was sprung!
3 shots later, one which hit me, but due to my excellent health, I didn't bleed, just blurred my vision. I needed to move or die where I lay. With a roll to the left, I jumped to my feet and ran as fast as I could, all the time thinking I will be shot in the back. weaving my way through the trees, I burst out into an open field, with little to no cover. Surely I will be shot down like a rabbit in the headlights.
Nothing, no shots. I kept running.
Was I let free because they realized I only had a crossbow?
I wasn't a threat too them?
They opened fire first, they wanted me dead, I wasn't finished. I wanted more action, I was going back. I hid in a pond among the reeds for many minutes. I hadn't been followed. I crawled my way back through the forest towards the danger zone, many minutes later, I arrived close to where I was attacked, but my attackers had left the scene.

I'm lucky to be alive.

My next adventure will see me deep among the camps, searching. . .

Awesome! Last time I went on we walked around in a huge circle then had to log off haha. Good times. It was because my mate Scott got killed when we were on our way towards him. We are near the NEAF. Should meet up again soon.

I'll be on tonight and tomorrow (Thurs Fri) once i'm done with the NWAF i'll head back towards the new NEAF. Hopefully with last nights update to 0.46, my character hasn't been reset.

I've been playing lots of Word of Tanks recently, so haven't been on for a bit. I'll see if any of the guys are interested in jumping in. One of them is o/s for a bit.

Another riotous rendezous with Dex and his mates last night! :yes:

Within minutes of everyone meeting at a hunting platform, on the edge of a small forest, things happened rather quickly. . .


As we stood around, saying g'day, and general banter, 2 players, within 20 meters, sprinted past us, seemingly unaware of our presence!?
As we considered what to do, Dex, like a shark who has smelt blood on the current, opened fire. . . :nod: Game on! (well for some at least, I was a fresh spawn, so only had an empty magnum, i'll just sit this one out boys!)
Like cockroaches when the lights come on, everyone scattered.
Little did we know, the 2 players weren't alone and within seconds, we all were gunned down from behind.
The rest of the night we all spent mostly seperated, looting and gearing up.
Before the night was up, Dex (his mate, sorry can't remember his name) and I, decided on a campfire with a side of deer steaks, however, we had to wait for Jeremy to arrive, as we all had pickaxes, therefor couldn't cut down a tree for the much needed logs. . . and, then the server reset, our fire didn't get lit, the end.

Here's hoping our next outing wont start as roughly as our first 2. :aussie:

Yeah my bad haha.

I'm sure I hit one of them. They were probably sprinting out of town because of the other blokes.

Oh well... It's all well and good having all the gear that we did, but if you never try and use it, what's the point I reckon. It was actually a good night in the end. My goal this time is to get myself a decent assault rifle.

I have found an AKM !! and I have two 30 rd clips !! and a kick arse scope !! :aussie:

now I just want to hide in the bushes. Just me and my weapon. :yummy:

Ambushed an ambush on the Berry Police Station last night.

Picked up an M4 with everything but a scope. 300 odd rounds should last a while.
