urn 10 Studios have deployed an update for Forza Horizon 3, bringing a substantial number of fixes and enhancements to both the Xbox One and Windows 10 editions of the game.

The new patch addresses several stability issues with the game, not least of which is the well known microphone issue on PC and the Xbox One crash when pausing the game mid-action. Additional to the general fixes include a nice CPU optimisation for PC users running four core setups, improvements on the occasionally lacklustre FFB, new Horizon Edition cars added to Wheelspins amongst many other enhancements.

Next challenge is already up, win a drag race at the airport in an Extreme Track Toy to win the #17 Penske DJR Falcon.
Word of warning, it's got Ambrose written on it.
Aside from that, just build a 4WD Caterham with a 3L V8 and keep it in A class, you should win within one or two tries.

Yeah, random lobby of cars.
The game gives each class a head start so an A class car with a high-power focus will easily beat any S1 across the line.

Turn 10 and Playground Games have released the latest DLC car pack for Forza Horizon 3.
Alpinestars Car Pack:
2017 Acura NSX
2016 BMW M4 GTS
2016 Dodge Viper ACR
1967 Ford Falcon XR GT
1990 Mazda Savannah RX-7
1998 Nissan Silvia K’s
1979 Talbot Lotus Sunbeam

The accompanying update has just gone live, weighing in at 908mb. Included in the update is a first for the Horizon series: a new barn find, available to all players, will be hidden amongst the Australian landscape. Winter is coming. Not just in the turn of the season but also to an Xbox One or PC near you as the Horizon festival drops the Aussie heat for a bit of ice cool snow. Playground Games have dropped the above teaser onto the tail-end of their Alpinestars Car Pack reveal to really get the imagination going as to what the first expansion for the game could potentially add.

The weather effects on Forza Horizon 3 are already very pretty: there’s nothing quite like rolling your Reliant SuperVan in Byron Bay whilst a wicked thunderstorm kicks off in the background. With dynamic rain and time effects already in the base game, the possible addition of snow could really crank things up a notch and bring even more variety to the driving experience.

Given this is a full expansion, one would expect that we’ll get a host of new events and perhaps even a new location to tussle the conditions with. Victoria is well-known in Australia for it’s numerous ski resorts, so it could be a potential host to a brand new Horizon headquarters. Perhaps we’ll finally see Arctic Trucks or some of the other companies listed in the licensing credits? Only time will tell what the expansion will include.

For those interested in the prospects of wintery racing, it will make up one slot in the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass which is available on the Xbox Store right now. Priced at $35, the pass will host two separate expansions to be released in the near future. For those who purchased the Ultimate Edition of the game, the pass is priced more keenly at $25.

With the Blizzard Expansion expected to drop before year’s end, all eyes will be on the Forza official blog as we await the full reveal of Horizon 3’s maiden expansion.

Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios have released a limited demo version for Windows 10 PC players of their new Forza Horizon 3 title.

Weighing in at an epic 20GB according to the Windows 10 Store page, the new Forza Horizon 3 Demo is pretty sizable indeed, giving players the ability to "explore a portion of Forza Horizon 3’s map, while taking a guided tour through some of the best features that the game has to offer".

In a pretty smart move by the developers, those who complete the full demo version of the game will then be given access to an online option that will allow players to drive together in a free roam session around the open areas of the demo map.

The studio have also confirmed an update to the Xbox One demo, now including HDR support. Available to owners of the Xbox One S and viewing on an HDR display, the upgraded Xbox One demo with HDR support should allow the unarguably stunning graphics of Forza Horizon 3 to really shine...

My son is absolutely addicted to Horizon 3.. It's a lot of fun and a great selection of cars.

They certainly know how to charge though.. $30 for the Blizzard world..

Worth it though, he's discovered the fun in making dick n balls in the snow :)

Just dropping a quick heads-up.
Tomorrow (or realistically, today) there's a challenge on in Horizon 3 where if you do an Online Adventure with an FX Holden Ute or International Scout, you win a Lola T70.
