Yep that's the one Knappo. Once in the Windows 10 store and you have a hotmail/live account linked to it you can hit "redeem code" to tie it to that account. If you already have an Xbox account you use, tie it to that and will work on both the Xbox and Windows 10, and the save games are accessible on both platforms.

I couldn't get it to work with the A1 pedals norbs so I'd say no at this point, things may change with patch Duke mentioned above.

The kind of game that's probably better off played with a controller

Yep so far that is 100% true. They finally released a patch today so the G27 is actually supported now. It worked for me before but there was like 0 feedback so hopefully it is better now but won't hold my breath

Gents, I can potentially help with the d/l and writing it to an SD card for example - I do have a 64GB SD card here. 100/40 fiber NBN connection with 300GB limit.
But it may not help much time-wise nor cost-wise, and you need to give me your details, where to log in, how to log in, etc...only on PC of course, and I can't even be sure you can d/l to a win7 PC, lol.
Or if you're on the central coast, you can park your laptop here and d/l it. It should take about 1.5hrs if their side of the connection is capable of full speed. (eg steam games usually come down at ~10MB/s)

I forgot to mention it before, but as Shaun said, the FFB is pretty bloody average, it's good fun to play but it's not in the same league as any of the major sims.
I haven't looked into this too hard, but I saw some talk over at Whirlpool that the game is encrypted with bitlocker as a form of copyright protection, not sure if it's for DRM or to protect the IP of the vehicle manufacturers, if that's the case sharing the download probably won't work as each install probably has its own encryption key. Taking the system you intend to play it on to your place may be the only option where that would work.ysu wrote:Gents, I can potentially help with the d/l and writing it to an SD card for example - I do have a 64GB SD card here. 100/40 fiber NBN connection with 300GB limit.

Steam/uPlay/Origin all do this, but the Windows Store doesn't recognise the files and starts the download from scratch.

Well, that'll teach you buying windows store items instead of steam!Shonky wrote:I forgot to mention it before, but as Shaun said, the FFB is pretty bloody average, it's good fun to play but it's not in the same league as any of the major sims.

Trust me, if it could have been bought on steam I would have.

You aren't kidding. The windows store got found out big time with this one. Norbs buyer beware have an xbox one controller ready for when your experience on steering wheel sucks. On wheel its ok at best on controller it's fantastic

I tried using a controller but couldn't hold onto the car. Have plugged in the pedals for my Thrustmaster TX (which are rubbish) and it's a bit better. However, the brake pedal doesn't work properly (spikes and doesn't zero) so it's all a bit of a struggle. Doesn't let me navigate the map either.

How's this compare with Test Drive Unlimited? I loved both of those.

Hmmmmm, not sure now about this one now. I would need it to run in triples properly and work with the Fanatec V2 wheel for it to be a done deal.
Time to read up on it.

It runs on triples albeit in stretch mode, which I think you hate?
As for running with a CSW v2, I think it will but only as long as you're pedals are plugged into the base (i.e. one controller).

Triples are okay. Just the controller issue bugs me.

Re: Forza Motorsport 6 & Forza Horizon 3 (also coming to W10 PC)
Dosnt look too bad, with the exception that the gauges are on the limit of your peripheral vision making them pretty useless...
My pedals are connected to the base so I should be all good. Its very tempting, only thing stopping me at the moment is time. Ide rather be riding my mountain bike on the trails most nights.
EDIT: the comments on the video mentioned the hud can be in the centre.
I missed that, thanks for the tip. And for those who missed it as well, Settings > HUD and Gameplay > set HUD Safe Frame Horizontal to 100.

Thought you would have also mentioned the price as a limiting factor.
It ain't really cheap for what is arguably an arcade racer.

Yeah you are right, it is pricey but as its a once off payment im ok with that price tag.
Ive always wanted a GT or Forza on PC to be able to mod cars for general shits n giggles but its about 5+ years too late for my available time these days. Birthday is around the corner so I might splash out for it then.

Forza Horizon 3 is having it's first Forzathon car "deal"
Get 35,000 points in a drift zone in a Toyota AE86 and you unlock the Nissan Silvia S14.
S14 deal expires at the end of the American day, so around 14 hours or so.
