John Sabol of ISRTV gives us a previow of Forza Horizon 3 from E3.
The first video sees John driving the Forza Horizon 3 demo in one of the VRX D-Box motion simulators with Fanatec gear and giant, curved, 4K TV’s (sans commentary). Because sometimes you just want to hear the game for yourself.
The second video allow viewers to make up their on conclusions, with commentary. It's not only commentary on the demo, but answers – and non-answers – to many of the biggest questions from the sim racing community.
The last video let's you imagine how you would spend those winnings from your Mega-Millions ticket. Maybe a 2017 Lamborghini Centenario would do, with it's $2 million dollars price tag.

Last month, Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft revealed Forza Horizon 3 for Xbox One at the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3).

This follow-up to the Forza Horizon 2 arcade racer will feature a massive virtual rendition of Australia, enabling you to drive through the forests, deserts, and city streets of the land down under. As with Forza Horizon 2, Turn 10 will reveal a new batch of featured Forza Horizon 3 cars on a weekly basis. Expect to see a diverse lineup of trucks, buggies, and other special vehicles .

The new Forza Horizon 3 game will feature over 350 car models. Turn 10 Studios has now revealed an already impressive list of the first 150 vehicles that will be appearing in Forza Horizon 3. We can expect that over the next few weeks, more car models will be revealed.

At launch, three version of the game will become available. The “Standard Edition” containing the base game and content. There is also the “Deluxe Edition,” in which you get access to the Motorsport All-Stars Car Pack including 10 unique racing cars and a VIP membership. Last but not least, there is the “Ultimate Edition” containing the previously mentioned content and the Forza Horizon 3 car pass that grants you early access and free download of all the future DLC packs.

The full list includes the previously-announced Motorsport All-Stars Car Pack, and also highlights which cars will be available through the Forza Rewards loyalty program. Check it out:

It looks like the tradition of weekly reveals will continue for the latest installment in the Forza franchise. Last week the first 150 cars were revealed for the upcoming open-world game, and today, another 34 are added to the list. The list naturally includes a lot of cars already seen in FM6 but the standouts are the three Holden vehicles: the 2016 HSV GTS Maloo, 1951 50-2106 FX Ute, and 1974 Sandman HQ panel van. All are new to the franchise, and continue to build on the list of offerings native to the game’s Australia setting.
Lining the very first Ute up against the similar Ford F-100 should provide an interesting comparison for players…
Also of note is the return of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage V600, a car not seen in the Forza series since 2011, in Motorsport 4.

2007 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
1970 AMC Rebel “The Machine”
1998 Aston Martin V8 Vantage V600
2011 Audi RS 5 Coupé
2011 BMW X5 M

1968 Ferrari 365 GTB/4
2011 Ferrari FF
1978 Ford Mustang II King Cobra
1956 Ford F-100
1991 GMC Syclone
2016 Holden Special Vehicles GTS Maloo
1951 Holden 50-2106 FX Ute

Re: Forza Motorsport 6 & Forza Horizon 3 (also coming to W10 PC)

Forza Horizon 3 continues as normal with it’s car reveals on the run up to release. This week, Road and Track have unveiled 14 of the cars that will take their place in the car roster — and in particular 3 beauties which are sure to make your car senses tingle.

First up, we have the exquisite Ferrari 166MM Barchetta (shown above). Ferrari’s maiden winner of the 1949 24 Hours of Le Mans will feature in the Horizon festival, bringing with it all 140BHP and a V12 engine. The design of this Italian stallion may be striking but no longer unique, as AC’s Cobra bears a striking resemblance to it in many ways than one. We look forward to seeing this car decked out in the Cobra’s iconic stripes — a perfect cross-continental marriage of Motorsport history.

Image

Up next, we have another Italian beast from the same decade:
The 1953 Maserati A6GCS/53 Pininfarina Berlinetta proved to be ‘style over substance’, not making much of an impact on the Motorsport world. With that being said, when a car looks this good it can be forgiven. Although a real model of the car sold for 3.5 million dollars in 1996, you’ll be able to try this out on the Australian Outback for much, much less.

Image

It isn’t just Italy that’s getting some retro love from Playground Games, the UK will also see some representation from the 60s:
Bringing a 3.8 litre straight-6 British engine, the 1969 Jaguar Mk II 3.8 will offer premium looks and speed in Forza Horizon 3. In it’s heyday, the Jag primarily tore up Touring Car competitions however the Horizon festival will definitely be a suitable environment for this brute.

Image

The 11 other vehicles unfortunately don’t yet have renders, however the list below points out some more confirmed cars to expect when the title releases:
1980 Abarth Fiat 131
2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe
1957 BMW Isetta 300 Export
1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
1985 Ford RS200 Evolution
1977 Ford Escort RS1800
1966 Ford Lotus Cortina
2015 Infiniti Q60 Concept
2015 Lexus RC F
1997 McLaren F1 GT
1958 Plymouth Fury

As with any Forza game, the car list is shaping up to be as varied and cross-era as possible. There aren’t many games in the modern genre that would offer the McLaren F1 GT, Escort RS1800 and Q60 Concept to have some off-road fun.

Forza Horizon 3 launches on September 27th 2016 on Xbox One and PC.

It seems like there's gonna be a lot of new car models in every PC racing sim now thanks to the new Forza lineups.

Still, this car lists is golden, I reckon I'll buy Forza just to go crusing in a Sandman or GTHO across the Nullabor.

Aston Martin GT12, 2017 GT-R & CTS-V Headline Forza Horizon 3 Garage Update
The latest garage update courtesy of EVO magazine further illustrates that point, featuring 30 cars in total. This week’s three stars are all modern-day wonders that span Asia, Europe and America in origin. A world-class buffet of driving pleasure from some of the most established names in automotive history, starting with the 2015 Aston Martin GT12.

Image

Forza Horizon 3 now hosts the mechanically brilliant Nissan GT-R ’17. As with any GT-R, expect high speeds, incredible handling, and a surprisingly tame interior as you drive through Australia. Each iteration of the GT-R does feel familiar but it’s good to see Nissan’s latest model be represented on FH3’s roster.

Image

The Cadillac CTS-V has now been around for over 10 years, with it’s premium sedan looks combining well with high-performance parts normally found on contemporary Corvettes. The 2016 model in Horizon 3 stays true to this formula.

All 30 vehicles revealed this week are listed below:

2016 Abarth 695 Biposto
2002 Acura RSX Type-S

The final reveal prior to game launch is the largest to date from Turn 10 Studios, showing off another 65 cars, vans, buggies and three wheel machines for the new Horizon game. Pride of place in the latest announcement sits the Alumi Craft Class 10, an impressive all terrain buggy designed for the harshest and most difficult driving environments. The Class 10 is a popular desert racer vehicle and can be used to great effect in both off and on road situations.

As is now the usual for these content announcements, Turn 10 have revealed a wide variety of machinery due to be available in Horizon 3. For those with the more traditional inclinations, the latest announcement will have significant interest around the desirable Ferrari 458 Speciale and 2013 version of the epic Shelby GT500... interesting to see how these race cars for the road will cope with the variety of terrain in Horizon 3.

The Forza Garage series of car reveals came to an end this week with all 350+ vehicles seemingly spoken for, the question remained “Where’s Volkswagen?”
Unfortunately, the German automaker won’t be included in Forza Horizon 3, as confirmed by Brian Ekberg (Mechberg) in this week’s Week in Review.
Undoubtedly a somber confirmation, this will be the first game in the franchise the automaker won’t be featured in since the series’ inception in 2005.
“With our Forza Garage series wrapping up, I know that a lot of folks in the community have been wondering about a conspicuous manufacturer absence from the game: Volkswagen. With Forza Horizon 3, we’re bringing fans more than 350 cars to the game at launch, including manufacturers who have never appeared in a Forza game before.

Our team works hard to license hundreds of brands for every Forza game; from small independent brands to major international automotive companies. Unfortunately, we can’t always align our fans’ desires with the interests of every licensor, as is the case with Volkswagen in Forza Horizon 3. As a result, we’re unable to include VW in the game.

Naturally, there are tons of VW fans here at Turn 10 and Playground Games and we’re as disappointed to share this update as our fans are to hear it. We hope to be able to restore VW to Forza games in the future.”
It’s worth pointing out that this is only limited to Volkswagen Passenger Cars, as wholly-owned subsidiaries – the likes of which include Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, and Lamborghini, are still going to be included when the game releases next month
Naturally, this opens up the possibility that a particular marque, namely "Porsche", another wholly-owned subsidiary of the VW Group, can be introduced to the game as an expansion down the line.

Forza Horizon 3 launches on Xbox One and PC September 27 2016.

Microsoft confirm Forza Horizon 3 PC specs & surprise vehicle for the title! Microsoft also confirmed that the title has now made the transition to gold status. This means development work has now been completed and the title is at the stage that physical disks can now be produced.

Halo 2554 AMG Transport Dynamics M12S Warthog CST
Fans of the Halo franchise will be very happy to learn that the Warthog will be included in the upcoming title! For people who may not know exactly what the Warthog vehicle is, it is the iconic Halo 2554 AMG Transport Dynamics M12S Warthog CST, a civilian transport vehicle based on the M12 Force Application Vehicle, which is also used for militaristic purposes in the game. However, before being able to drive the Warthog, there is a caveat to being able to go bush-bashing in this tough as nails off-roader!

The Caveat:
Players of Forza Horizon 3 will need to previously have played Halo 5: Guardians, or Halo: The Master Chief Collection on XBOX One, after which they will obtain a code from Microsoft via XBOX Live. For players that have not played the mentioned Halo titles on the XBOX One that would still like to drive the Warthog, don’t despair. You will have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Forzathon event in October, allowing you to unlock the vehicle in Forza Horizon 3.

PC Specs And Options:
Players of the PC version of Forza Horizon 3 will be able to customise their gaming experience through a number of basic and advanced settings in the game. Some of the basic options include full screen, vertical sync and resolution, with the advanced options allowing the tweaking of quality settings for motion blur, mirrors, reflection, static and dynamic geometry.

Recommended PC Specifications:
CPU: i7 3820 @ 3.6GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 970 or NVIDIA GTX 1060 / AMD R9 290X or AMD RX 480
VRAM: 4GB
RAM: 12GB
Available Disk Space: 55 GB
Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Windows Version: Windows Anniversary Edition 64-bit 14393.101

Turn 10 have revealed that the free-to-play Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, released on Windows 10 earlier this year, is now available as a full-fledged release product & also now supports a number of racing wheels. The 97.2 MB update now available to Windows 10 users introduces support for the following wheels, and will also be supported in Forza Horizon 3 at launch.

· Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
· Logitech G25 Racing Wheel
· Logitech G29 Racing Wheel
· Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing Wheel
· Thrustmaster T300RS
· Thrustmaster T500 RS Gaming Wheel
· Logitech G920 Xbox One Wheel
· Thrustmaster T150
· Thrustmaster TX Xbox One Wheel
· Thrustmaster TMX Xbox One Wheel
· Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Racing Wheel

While support for Fanatec wheels is notably missing from today’s list, Brian Ekberg notes there is additional wheel support on the way that will be added to the game soon. Support for specific Fanatec wheels, including the ClubSport V2 Xbox One Hub and the Fanatec CSR models will be introduced to Apex beginning later this month.

Additionally, H-pattern shifters are fully supported in today’s update for all Logitech wheels listed above, bar the G29 which will be added at a later date. Support for additional H-pattern shifters, the likes of which include Thrustmaster’s TH8RS and TH8A will be added in a future update.

Don't get excited by the wheel support. It's good they have it but it isn't done well. No ffb options well there is 3 but they don't do anything. Also steering locked at 180 degrees. Surprisingly it feels ok until you start sliding and 180 degree rotation just confuses my brain after using way more rotation for so long

LOL. Yep. So many games dont recognise a separate wheel and pedals.

I had to map buttons to accelerate and brake. Once that was done, it wasnt as terrible as I expected. Possibly the ideal game for the numpties that visit, see my race rig and say "let me at it!!"
