I'm very hesitant when it comes to anything from PiBoSo.

This guy (group?) makes a new game, puts a few months effort into it and then disappears. A couple of months later, shows up with the big next project all the while forgetting about all the other "games".

Yes I hear you R8, but isn't this his first game where he's actually committed to a release date, on Steam no less?

I'd still be weary. Plenty of games have been greenlit, and beyond that disappear.

Kart Racing Pro is pretty good, decent selection of karts in there, and they are realistic. Mod tracks are fairly low quality mostly, but there are plenty to choose from. I just wish there was some AI, as there isn't anyone online at all

Is it using the ISI GMotor2 engine like rFactor1 & Automobilista, as it looks like it?

Na it's his own engine, so put it a notch below even Gmotor2.

At the time of writing, Piboso is not sure if existing Kart Racing Pro accounts will be migrated to a Steam Key. In either case, both the Steam and manual downloads will remain available.

On the official Kart Racing Pro website, you can Download (805 MB) a version of Kart Racing Pro that works as a demo until unlocked entering a license key. You can purchase the Kart Racing Pro Licence for $34 Euro. With this license, there will be no time limit and you will get support, software updates and additional content for the game.

Kart Racing Pro is a realistic karting simulator.
The aim is to create a simulation which is useful as a training tool for real drivers, based on a scratch built physics engine that accurately simulates kart dynamics and setup options.
As such a steering wheel is strongly recommended, although keyboard, joysticks, and gamepads are fully supported.

Kart Racing Pro also allows to host and join online races, with an integrated matchmaking server. During events, data is collected, to provide statistics for drivers’ comparison.

automotive industry-standard tyre model
chassis flex simulation
dynamic track surface groove build up
wet track simulation and dynamic drying

It's not for anyone casually looking for racing. No AI means it's just hotlapping. As a simulator, it's mile's ahead of kartkraft
