Just wondering do any of you fellow Battlefield fans use a shared server?

Thinking of finally picking this one up tonight as the price is pretty good.

Only question I have. Has anyone played Call of Duty WWII?
Just wondering how this stacks up against it. My gut feeling from what ive read is Battlefield 1 is the better of the two but the single player story of COD WWII might slightly have the edge on BF1.

Ill be playing the single player story mode more than online I think but will most likely noob it up on a few servers to provide some fodder for the regulars.

I'm still playing BF4 daily but I haven't bought BF1 because the weapons aren't right for WW1 imho.

I got the $45 pack. Cool thing, hit about 20% download and you can play. Battlefront 2 did the same thing.

What weapons do you think are not right Richo?

Hey Knappo, I got 25 loot boxes :happybanana:

One was for buying Battlefront 2 and it gave me a tyre iron that's got a spiked ball head. May the force allow me to beat the brains out of my enemies :D

I played Scout for the first time last night and noticed the K-Rounds in the loadout, but that rifle is pretty mental. Didnt get a chance to line a vehicle up tho when I was playing scout, will definitely have to keep this in mind next time im on one of the maps where you have clear vision.

Last night was the first night that the premium trials have not been active so I found it a little difficult to get a game in a server with good pings. I had to enter a 10 player waiting list but I got in eventually. Starting to wish I went premium at first but didnt know if I would enjoy it as much as I have been. lol

I did notice last night the premium pass is on sale at the moment and I get paid today/tomorrow.

Double discount WIN

Origin had 30% off the premium pass and a promo "FILLYOURSTOCKING" at checkout for a further 30% off. It let me apply the promo on the already discounted item for 60% off.

Got killed by a Sgt_Knappo yesterday. Was that you?

Been playing it a bit over the last week and I've had to cave in and buy the premium pass as well. I hate it because it's such a scam, but getting stuck in the "queue" for 20+ mins when a friend with premium gets straight onto the server sucks major ass.

Yes sir. That was me.

I recall now someone typing my name in the chat but just figured it was a random bloke on the side saying something random. The chat is usually full of kids garbage most of the time so I usually ignore it.

Im slightly addicted to BF1 lately. Its a real love hate relationship... Some nights I got on and get throughly raped and killed so many times I quit out of frustration, other times like last night the game just flows and 3-4 squads all work together and seriously steamroll the competition. Games like that are super fun to play when everyone works together and are on the same wavelength, even without voice chat. Ive had games where a few in my squad are on the mic and we all work together but last nights game was nuts, so many working as one and zero communication via chat or mic.

After tonight ill be at level 60, ive unlocked a few handy weapons now but at times you think you have a enemy square in the sights and he just mows you down lol.

I don't use chat either. Just noticed the name. Enjoyment for me depends on the map. If they're heavy on snipers or have a lot of trenches I'll usually hate it. Some of the newer ones are terrible.

I really hate snipers. Dont mind playing medic tho but usually play assault or support.

Agreed about the maps. Its funny how a terrain change can effect the game play so much.

Snuck three games of conquest in last night and they were absolute crackers.

First round I lucked into a really good side and we held all objectives early on and pinned them back at the initial spawn point. Rolled them for a 380 vs 1000 win.

Second round was the best BF1 game ive played so far. 23 kills to 10 deaths with a 9 player kill steak.
I got to a point on that kill streak that I was out of ammo on my main weapon defending an objective with just 2 other blokes and had to fall back to my pistol, which i also depleted and scored the 9th kill with a knife lol. Only if there was a support with us so I could have had a resupply and been able to kick on.

Third round was just like the 1st. We smashed them early on and got them all the way back to the spawn point and just hammered them home for the win.
