I came to that conclusion after I made my last post, and I do have a replay of a race there with you in a Brabham, so I have a useful guide. :D

get the world record groove for whatever chassis you want to run, and just brake before their marks... slowly building up with smoother, more effective braking... atleast, for the rank tracks that is.

i've got a whole bunch of setups i could email, some more challenging than others...

C'mon Jamie, I usually only do Tuesday nights too.

I've tried the WR setups and replays for grooves Reg, but my style is somewhat different to theirs. I'm happy to use Dave's as I know they're consistent and not unobtainable times for me.

yeah i guess that works better,, i just use the line for a better idea of where to cut the odd corner a bit more aggressively and just brake earlier for the corners that they don't brake softly for...

but on another gpl configuring note:

Highly recommended! Get GPL Resolutions Hacker! For me it was almost like they had released GPL2, the graphics is much better on the default/native res of your monitor.

also, if you haven't already got it, get pribluda! But if you have got it and you haven't already tweaked it before... double click on your pribluda.ini file. You can set the size, colour and co-ordinates for your splits, field position, driver awareness and tyre temps tabs - put them anywhere, any size, any colour that does or doesn't stand out on the screen the way you want... a must, no excuses! It's like the child's game Battleship only easier! read the read me and experiment with what it does! Highly recommended!

Cheers,
reg

I finally took 0.8sec off my Spa time today. In the second lap of practice for the race last night I was in line to go neg, and then fucked up La Source

I got a G25 coming my way so should be floating around again. Somehow a button that attaches to the steering boss on my BRD wheel has be broken off and have no idea how so thats even more cash to repair it and still I dont know why the steering is screwed up so I got a G25. Almost 12 months without a wheel has been hard but at least I can still use my BRD pedals with the wheel and I get a shifter. Its gonna be fun :D

Jamie, excuse for saying so, but you're nuts. you say almost 12 months without ya wheel....you coulda sent it away and had it fixed in way less time than that and i betcha it woulda cost ya
way less than the cost of a G25. granted you will now have a G25, but you'll also have a BRD wheel that you cant get rid of coz its broke....you obviously have more money than sense lol

Blues, that BRD wheel cost me over $600 to buy and almost another $100 to try and find the trouble with it. It would cost me over $100 to send it back to England to get it fixed and then its gotta get back. BRD also are getting limited on parts as I did find it hard to get some parts from them. I do plan to send it back but it could be gone for some time. It's very annoying to try to race sim without a wheel for me now which is why you dont see me much. I can get a G25 and use it from the get go and that way I'm not using my BRD stuff so it can go back to be repaired.

I've changed everything on that wheel and both Matt and I have had a multimeter on the damn thing and we've got no idea what's wrong with it. BRD will repair it for no charge, I hope, but I gotta get the damn thing there. I would never get rid of the BRD stuff as if you saw it you'd understand why but its annoying its gotta go so far for something that could be minor. Anyway having a back up wheel wont hurt for future troubles.

DrPain only knows I'm gay by finding out in a very special way

As for his lame ass info, we are on the arse channel in IGOR, we are currently running 66 mod cars and we decide on circuits on the night at the moment until we can be bothered getting the next series organised.

Okay, I've loaded Cerne's Wood and had a couple of races against the AI. It is fun, but it is bloody hard to pass unless somebody makes a real mistake. What's a good time for others there? Best I got in the BT19 was a mid 1:50

I have a kindergarten committee meeting tonight from 7:30 to about 9:30, so I wouldn't be adverse to running Cerne's Wood as the second track. :)
