okay thks for confirmation, I did see that, just was not sure if rule or not.

It is just that in other GPL series I have run in, there is often free chassis choice, hence the question.

The reason why I said choose a chassis is that it makes it fair so people dont go swapping cars to suit tracks.

Kyalami pit wall?

Post by Buk Nekkid »

Hi fellas,

Are we running Kyalami with or without the pit wall?

Would that mean that I may have to dwnld another version? Mine (which I believe is the original) has the pit wall.

The only reason I ask is that the two most popular updates have it removed (historically accurate). Having said that I've edited mine to put it back in (as most leagues still use it I believe).

Problems can occur at the start when someone who uses a version without the pit wall uses the extra room gained by the wall not being there and then moves back onto the racing line, which appears to the user who has the pit wall as if they've driven straight through it and has no idea that there is a car there and often accidents occur.

Either version can be used but there can be those sorts of problems occur if some use the pit wall and some don't :)

ok blokes this is it. the ARSE 67 season comp will start next Tuesday 9th January. Tracks on the night will be Kyalami & Monaco.

the chassis that you run in will be the one you use for the next 4 weeks, so choose wisely.

we'll be running the original Papy tracks and a list of all tracks for the comp is earlier in this thread.

any questions you have, dont hesitate to ask here. Good luck & good racing.

Ok Fella's

Looks like some interesting tracks to pick from for the 69 series.

Kyalami -Sth African
Montjuïc - Spanish
Monaco - Monaco
Zandvoort - Dutch
Charade - French
Silverstone - British
Nürburgring - German
Monza - Italian
Mosport Park - Canadian
Watkins Glen - USA
Hermanos Rodriguez - Mexico

So we can do them all or make a selection, up to everyone to decide.

ok guys the ARSE 1969mod comp will start this Tuesday17th April. You can see a list of the tracks above in their official order, which we'll race except Nurburgring.
Round 1 on Tuesday night will be Kyalami & Montjuic.
Round 2 Monaco & Zandvoort
Round 3 Charade (Clermont Ferrand) & Silverstone
Round 4 Monza & Mosport
Round 5 Watkins Glen & Mexico
The Charade race will be done using Clermont Ferrand 65 version.
you must pick your chassis at the start of the comp and must stick to that chassis throughout the comp.
points awarded will be 1st = 9, 2nd = 6, 3rd = 4, 4th = 3, 5th = 2, 6th = 1.

Good luck & good racing

And start up without me tomorrow as I won't be home. I'll probably be unreliable Tuesday nights anyway because of my condition but I will run when I can.

Sorry for the no-show the last couple of weeks. The old girl had a bit of a tumble and has winded up in hospital. As my Father is blind/deaf and suffering from parkinsons, I've had to assume the duties of taxi driver and carer. Hopefully she won't be in there too much longer and life can return to some form of normality.

Have fun guys and I'll see ya's on track soon :)
