awesome work VT. very well done :up:

I see Erin is in the Nav seat for Targa High Country with Adam Spence and his Renault. Hope they have as good a run as you did at Coffs.

I did. ;) But I must say that any person I soaked was purely in retaliation.

Re: VTRacing's Rallying thread - Heading to Victoria

Post by VTRacing »

Ok folks, after the success in Coffs Harbour we decided to put an entry in for the last round of the ARC which is Rally Victoria.

The event is being held out in the West Gippsland near Warragul & Neerim with a service park / super special at Lardner Park. Unusually it kicks off on Friday afternoon 16 November with 6 stages (including 2 runs around Lardner Park) making up Heat 1; with Heat 2 taking place on the Saturday 17th.

Here's some info if anyone's interested in coming to have a look: http://rally.com.au/index.php?option=co ... Itemid=101" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

By all means come up and say hello if you see us hanging around the service park. And if you get there on Friday morning for the Media Day / Shakedown you might even get a ride. :)

I'd love to come along, not sure if I could get the time off work though. I'll look into it. These are the times I despise working retail.

i'd love to but working friday and saturday is an xmas party so i'm kinda screwed. I was also planning on going to see Sambo at Winton but it looks like that won't be happening either. I'd love to sneak friday off and do a skid with the pedant.

Her excellent run continues; they won the Showroom 2WD class in a Megane RS 250 by 4-odd minutes and ended up 17th outright. Everyone's favourite Tony Quinn won the event in his GT-R.

I fear for tarmac rallying in this country, on one of the stages (16.45km) the average speed achieved by the stage winner was 152 km/h...I haven't calculated the speeds for the other stages but most of them are close to that. Makes a bit of a mockery of the FIA-mandated limit of 120 km/h.

Meanwhile Erin is staying in Victoria for a few days before meeting up with us to run the ARC next weekend. Not a bad life. :D

So this event didn't end so well...we were fighting for 3rd outright with one stage to go after this when it all went bad.

But to get to 3rd over all before that whoopsy daisy, good job.
