So over the last few months I've been working with Vilante to come up with a new livery for the car, (KNAPPO did a great job with the last one, but in his new role as Apu he couldn't find the time to help out much on this one).

After much back and forth, versions and revisions, Vil and I came up with something that's just been applied by a sticker place in Hamilton.

Thanks Vil.

Great job fellas! I like how the lines travel out from the centre front. When/where is the competition debut?

The event is going ok for us so far, we're sitting 4th in the Asia-Pacific field. The weather has been pretty crap, wet and slippery but it should be better tomorrow. These roads are pretty amazing!

We're on track to score some decent points in the Pacific Cup section that we're going for.

Hey folks, back in the saddle again. This year we're keeping it local, just doing the Queensland Rally Championship but also the WRC Round at Coffs Harbour in September (because I missed out on it last year).

We had the first round of the QRC on Saturday, and it was my first rally since New Caledonia last June, and my first "blind" rally (no pacenotes) since early 2011.

Still, we came away with the win! :) Here's some incar including my pedal cam which I was using for the first time, so you can see the left-foot braking etc.

Excellent video, and well done!

I may sound ignorant, but what is she reading, then, if there are no pacenotes? (I notice the lack of detail, though)

Heck of an effort VT! Also, you have a bit of a reputation - I worked the Bathurst 12 Hour with a marshall who also did a few rallies... I couldn't remember your real name at the time but when I described your New Caledonia "adventure", he knew exactly who you were

It sounds like she's just reading off a map - she knew where the turns were, but not how tight. Just guessing though :)

That's the challenge of a blind event, reading the road to guesstimate where it's going. You look as far ahead as you can, and look for any clues like the treeline to give you some idea.

The organisers give us a "Road Book" which has those instructions in it. It will have the junctions so you can get around the course, and any particularly tricky sections or cautions etc.

Lol, famous!

Here's the sort of instructions we get:

But there might be kilometres between particular instructions so you're on your own for that bit.
