Had an altercation with the Ferrari and limped back to the pits. Retired due to lack of parts apparently.

What a spectacul the 1st hour of racing has been.
SVG so fast but Mario Engel in that Erebus Merc has just been sublime.
Pity there were the two incidents that appeared to be caused by impatience. How has the Bentley got away with no penalty, yet...
Feeling gutted for Duck, strange to hear they don't have the parts to fix it. :(

A pack of Mercs and Bentley's @ 5:45am must be awesome. I want to wake up to that each day! :)

Lap times are fast already. Just hope it ends well like last year.

Yeah it's a cruel sport some times... I walked past him earlier this morning in civilian clothes... He hadn't slashed his wrists, so that was a good sign... :)

Sometimes it's more about the effectiveness of the repairs trackside and being confident it will hold up going in to the chase approaching 300 k's... Especially when as a minimum they'd be a no show in the results. If it's all risk with no chance of reward, park it and come back to fight another day...

I'll be surprised if SVG does not end up on the world stage in sports cars some point soon... With the caliber of drivers in this field, there are still two levels of drivers... Shane, then everybody else...

I thought they'd come out closer after that last stop. It could be a mild end to the race unless something unexpected happens.

Nothing mild about it Rod. I bet big on The Giz McLaren for pole and win. They say sports betting is for mugs but the once or twice a year I do it... Well ya know, it always seems to pay off :D

Now if only we could please get a factory Porsche effort for next year so I could have an even surer bet.

Another thoroughly entertaining B12. Not as nail biting as last year but still a great event.

Chiyo put in some great final laps but Giz didn't look the slightest bit bothered. He was able to cover comfortably if needed.

They really deserved it to. Was a great weekend. I thoroughly recommend that you get to this race.

Next year will be mega with the BMW, new Ferrari's and Mercs plus talk of a serious Porsche effort.
