Lieb, Long, Bamber... and...

PEDRO LAMY IS COMING TO BATHURST!

Have you guys seen the line-up this year? :fall:

This race has massively come of age! I am glad I booked my mountain straight camp sites back in July.

Anyone else going?

Can't remember what site I'm at, but I'll be there too. Somewhere up behind Skyline I think is the camp site. Just look for the fattest ugliest bastard you can and that'll probably be me.

That's a shame GT :-(

Not sure Jiminee, certainly seems absent from the entry lists.

Erebus are out to - oh well, no tears about that one.
The entry list seems to have dropped from 61 to 56 which may explain some absentees.

That's a shame but 56 is still a strong field!

I am :excited: it's the best race in the country!

Wow, That's a proper field of drivers! Half the WEC field is coming down!

One day I'll get to this event, Ferrari is the featured Marque this year as well, so whoever is going, enjoy the show and the La Ferrari lapping it up!

I'll be listening to the RLM team!

*Rant Mode Engaged*

Fucking nanny car! The fucking things should be fucked off post haste. It's about time Bathurst has cranes posted at all major corners and across the top of the Mountain and shunts should be dealt with under heavily enforced double yellows.

Putting the whole fucking motor race on pause every time someone turns around is fucking ridiculous. You then get a mad rush on the restarts that more often than not results in another incident and another cameo from aforementioned fucking Nanny Car. Bah!

*End Rant*

Motor Racing is Dangerous.

As I said heavily enforced, make it so at the post before the incident the drivers have to engage the pit speed limiter and they can disengage at the post after. If they do not follow this procedure to the letter they're black flagged, no fucking around.

I'm glad you are such a fucking hero from the keyboard. Now welcome to the real world where drivers will miss the flag, they will leave it at late as possible to engage, and you have a dead official. I am not risking my fucking life to you can have a slightly better race.

As for cranes around the track. These are GT cars that are not designed to be lifted. there is no central point to lift easily, there isn't anywhere flat enough near to the track to have a crane at all the danger points. The whole top of the track is a danger point, and you would need an excessive amount of cranes to reach everything.

We have had enough dead and injured officials from the 'glory days' before safety cars, I'm very glad we have it.

I'm really enjoying the race regardless of the SC interventions, which lets face it have been caused by the Pro category more than the lower classes.
Multiclass racing has always required some discretion from all drivers & is part of the unique skills & fan attraction of this form of racing.

Pity the local livestream comes with the same TV ads but glad the international stream is advert free. :yes;

I'm not unsympathetic to a Marshalls position. But there has got to be a better solution than neutralising an entire 6.2km circuit because of a problematic 100m.

It still amazes me that they used to send a flat bed truck out onto a live racetrack and no one died.
