Geez they really are clutching at straws now...

Grid in reverse championship order ftw. I bet they'd quickly make cars that can race close :)

Trouble with that is that qualifying is then a bit pointless. Why would you try your hardest to go fastest if it puts you further down the grid.

Storyline:
Formula One (also Formula 1 or F1 and officially the FIA Formula One World Championship) is the highest class of single-seat auto racing that is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The FIA Formula One World Championship has been the premier form of racing since the inaugural season in 1950. The "formula", designated in the name, refers to a set of rules, to which all participants' cars must conform. The F1 season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix (from French, meaning grand prizes), held worldwide on purpose-built F1 circuits and public roads

Stars: Rubens Barrichello, Michael Schumacher, Jenson Button: See full cast & crew

Episode Guide
997 episodes
So that settles the question "is F1 a sport or entertainment"
Not quite sure what’s the point of having an IMDB page for something that technically is neither a movie nor a TV series?

Yeah, there are pages for sports based on a particular channels coverage. Not sure why there would be a generic one for the sport itself when different organizations have provided the base feed over the years. FOCA, FOM etc.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5226916/

Listing players/drivers seems a bit much. Though for documentaries they also list anyone who appears in the documentary, not just the people who made it.

Could be a trademark issue with the new logo. 3M are already using one that's very similar. Both would be used for clothes.

A 3M spokesman said: “3M filed a US trademark application for the Futuro logo on Feb 20 2017. Also, we have not had any discussions about the logo with the other party. We are looking into this matter further.”

Russian Sergey Sirotkin has joined Williams to fill the final place on the 2018 Formula 1 grid. Robert Kubica named Williams reserve driver

Think that's going to be a tough year for them with no real experience to push development.

Yeah, Williams going back to the bad old days. From Bottas and Massa to Stroll and Sirotkin in two years :( Look at what Force India do with a small budget but two front line drivers (admittedly Perez brings a bit of dosh but still...)

Hi guys,

long time member but scarce poster dropping by! Hope everyone's well and keen about the new season as I am!
I just wanted to share a thought I had just now about Mercedes.

I'm sitting here watching some races from 2012 and 2013, and Mercedes are horrible on their tires. Contrasting that to 2014, and I'm lead to think that it's more than just their epic engine that made the difference.

My mind cast back to their illegal tire test with Pirelli:
https://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2013/06/04/ ... tyre-test/

They only got banned from a young driver test, which seemed quite lenient, but has set a benchmark for similar penalties.
Do we think that it might be worth teams doing another similarly unrestricted test to try and kick start their seasons in the future? Or has the understanding of tires and aero (or use of the relevant sensors) come to a point that tests like this aren't as effective?

Force India's plans to change its name for the 2018 Formula 1 season have been compromised by 'cybersquatters' who have registered website domains the team might potentially want to use.

I can't help but think this is a PR stunt after copping shit for saying to his nephew that boys shouldn't wear dresses. Now he's in public holding his hand looking like an accepting uncle.
