Goddamnit it was once lol, just like bad place exploits.
I didn't know at the time, she told me her age the next day and I felt terrible. Twas nothing creepy about it, spied on her on the beach, a truly gorgeous creature so chatted her up, asked her for drinks and there you have it.

+ I was 37 at the time not 40 something.

I think it's worse that it as something small and relatively simple. A massive gearbox explosion due to the stresses of the race would have been far easier to take.

It's one of the cruellest motorsport events I can think of.

Wow, some superb photos in there. Love the Ford GT kicking up the spray.

I'm surprised you don't get yourself over there for the photography opportunities Kev. I mean it's a photographer's dream, surely! You have every kind of light (and often every kind of weather), and all kinds of cars and people. Plus you get 24 hours to get a good shot, so plenty of time to experiment and try stuff out.

Interesting from the drivers POV.

There was a video out there about the differences of the braking zone, pre and post Hybid tech. Had a similar theme.

I would like to be the first to congratualte Pastor on his victory in the 2017 LeMans.
With the record Pastor has he's gonna suprise a lot of us and take a victory or two, as well as having some pretty big crashes that will no doubt entertain us all until Pastor takes up NASCAR racing.

One of the world’s most recognisable automotive companies, BMW, has announced that it will be joining the FIA World Endurance Championship from 2018.

As part of its global motorsport strategy, BMW will enter the LMGTE category alongside current prestigious manufacturers such as Aston Martin, Ferrari, Ford, and Porsche. Its entry in the world championship will also mark a return to the cornerstone of the WEC, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, for the first time since 2011.

BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt commented: “Starting with the 2018 season, we want to further expand our activities in GT racing and compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship... This obviously also includes our return to Le Mans, which we are particularly looking forward to. The way the WEC has developed so well makes us confident that there is a big future for GT racing.”

Further details about the programme will be announced at a future date.

That's brilliant news - the more manufacturers involved, the better the championship I reckon.

Absolutely.. Hopefully BMW are on a path that leads to a LMP car.

With Peugeot also talking about a return the future looks bright for WEC!

Mark Webber announces retirement from racing

Didn't see that coming. Thought he might give the Le Mans another crack.
