Yeah and Andy Thomas could justifiably call him a bloody amateur lol. I meant Drivers, not heavy right feet.

Back on topic, I really hope this takes off. Some of what we have now would be like watching forklift racing. Yeah they have wheels and engines but they are not inspiring.

Forklifts can be inspiring. I'm sure rosco uses one in his warehouse full of cars. He needs something to move the go kart he drove at 253mph...Bauer wrote:Back on topic, I really hope this takes off. He's trying for a world land speed record to go with his current Australian land speed record... Of about 500mph...w00dsy wrote:Rosco deserves a crown.
If we are talking crowning drivers, boats need to be driven as well, that leaves ken warby probably having driven faster than Frank as well...
On a side note I actually stood next to that boat last weekend at the maritime museum at darling harbour... Balls of titanium he must have had... They have taken away his safety gear which used to be displayed, the Jim boots were a nice touch... But the boat is still there...
No disrespect to Frank at all, he was pretty good and worthy of hero worship... Australia's fastest driver... Not even close...

Only if you take "fastest" literally, unlike most people who would assume it means how fast they are relative to other drivers in a race.

Exacury, how aboot 'quickest'
But yes back on topic, I hope this really takes off. The Kiwi's have never really let F5000 go, so a revived Tasman Series is not outside the realms of possibility. This would be farken awesome!

Gonna say John McCormack, taken out of the racing game far too soon, especially with that beast of a Jag still being developed, lucky to be alive after that road crash though.
And Alan Jones of course.

Re: Formula Thunder 5000
I like it, with the slight exception of the curved rear wing. If that was flat it would look much better.
I never noticed it in the original press release images but its there as well.
