Interesting insight from the autosport testing feed

Big contrast between the Merc and the Williams at the chicane. Bottas works hard to open up the right hander and get back on the power as early as possible. Massa is lazy, letting the car drift to the right too early, which makes the second turn too tight and means he's late on the throttle. The Mercedes driveability is excellent out of here. The Haas is not bad. The McLaren Honda looks awful - Vandoorne really struggling to get back on the power at the right moment.

I read Vettel sandbagged that lap. He set the fastest first 2 sectors then backed off before the finish line.

Yep, Ferrari looking like they'll challenge Mercedes at worst. Maybe they'll be way out in front.

Unless Mercedes are holding back too. :D

Testing is so frustrating.

I went back and looked at the testing times from when Red Bull dominated and the was no sign that they'd have an advantage, so it's really hard to tell who is where until they get to Melbourne.

Yep & typically Melbourne isn't
a good indication for the rest of the season either.

Haas team principal Gunther Steiner believes Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull could be up to 1.5 seconds clear of the chasing pack

Ouch. In 8 days of testing, McLaren have only cleared 50 laps on 3 occasions. Their biggest total was 80 laps last week.

Watching #askcrofty day 3 Barcelona test, interviewing Stroll.

Can't decide which is more dull and disappointing, that fact that Stroll has no personality or the fact that they are 10 metres from the side of the track and you can barely hear that 3 cars are going by :(

How these muppets (sorry Muppet) can pretend to show any enthusiasm at all is just beyond me.

I think I may missed a syllable of this enthralling, fascinating interview as a Camry went by.

Seems like Honda's problems are vibrations. They're shaking up the engine so much it's causing the electronics to fail. So to get round it they turn the power down!

With the front runners going 3-5s quicker than last year, they might struggle to get the 107% time at Melbourne.

That will be a sad day for F1 if Mclaren fail to make 107% in Melbourne. They badly need to get that engine plant near Woking. This is crap you sort out on test beds, rolling roads ect...
