I havent watched this, but it looks good from the description.

People are editing the prequel crap into 1 film, Im going to give this one a watch its 2 hours 20 mins long.. 4 hours and 40 minutes CUT from them. the best bit is all the fan edits i have looked at cut the phantom menace out nearly completely. haha.

Clones made The Phantom Menace look like Citizen Kane.

I thought the very end of Rogue One was utterly fucked and was obviously tacked on last minute. I'm not even talking about the animated 'I'm a real Princess' version of a beloved character. Think about it does Vaders behaviour/demeanor in Star Wars even remotely gel with what we saw at the end of Rogue One.... Yeah no.

Aside from that loved it, best aside from the Holy Trinity.

They wanted him to be like that to show he is a prick. It was never done in the first 3 films as it wasn't really a done thing for the time.

Think about the level of violence 40 years ago to now. Now days it's blood and guts and characters dying all the time. I think they did Vader and Tarkin very well. It shows they are right royal pricks.

On a side note, my Darth Faark in SWTOR makes them look like pussies! I've used force lightning on anyone I can interact with. I need to get back to that galactic slaughter I was causing :D

Saw Rogue One today and thought it was great. :)

It almost descended into the incomprehensible massive scale chaos that most Hollywood blockbusters seem to feature nowadays, but I think it just held on and had some great moments.

It took me a while to get into it, a bit too much chopping back and forth at the start but after the first third to half I started to get into it more and quite enjoyed it overall by the end. A few things seemed a bit off like Chirrut and Baze just seemed to tag along for no apparent reason. The wife didn't enjoy it much but she hasn't seen the original trilogy, I don't think it really stands on it own if you haven't seen the original movies but then not many haven't (the wife obviously but she grew up in Vietnam).

I saw it at the Melbourne Imax in 3D, usually I avoid 3D unless it's a movie known to be worth seeing in 3D but it was pretty good I thought. I think maybe the super duper projectors they have there make a big difference to the sharpness and lighting you can lose.

Disney is doing a great job of humanizing robots, preparing us for a silent invasion. Resistance is futile.

Loved the movie.

CG characters were pretty impressive. Not perfect, but pretty good. I went with someone not as familiar with the characters and they didn't realize who was CG until I told them :)

I'm a BIG Star Wars fan and was delighted to see Rogue One - I'm always happy to see anything Star Wars related. There was a small part of me that thought that the film may just have been following all the Star Wars tropes but not actually having that much going on aside from that. But, I'm more than happy to revisit the world of Star Wars in any shape or form, so loved it overall.

Yeah - dead Luke? Or maybe it's Jedi plural?

Neither has Luke.
Has to be Obi-Wan...

I hope it's in reference to Luke being the last Jedi but he trains Rey to continue or even try to kick start the order.

Obi-Wan was dead before Yoda. Yoda called Luke the Last of the Jedi.

I'm really starting to think less and less of TFA as time goes on, only watched it twice but I reckon a third viewing will breed outright dislike.
Luke was mighty in the original EU. In TFA he's pathetic. He was the Last of the Jedi for 30 or so years and now he's hiding away without achieving a damn thing. Episode VI : A Very Brief Return of The Jedi

Obi-Wan & Yoda had a purpose in their exile. Snoke (stupid farken name!) better be some massive bad-ass (I'm still hoping Darth Plagueis) to have made Luke scurry off. Cause it certainly wasn't that emo douche nephew of his.

Reckon Rogue One trailer was much better. At least this promises more space battle action and walkers. And was that kylo ren's mask all shattered?
