The Revenant

Post by smithcorp »

What a farking movie!

4.5 bear attacks out of 5 (it loses half a bear attack because James Packer is an EP).

Based on this story of the toughest man alive: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Glass

I didn't mind the movie. It was a long one though! The bear attack was awesomely intense.

The bear attack was hard to watch. Visceral!

I saw a trailer for this on IMDB where DiCabrio was being chased by a load of people on horses and someone seriously messed up the CGI in that clip. In the foreground he looks like he's galloping at full pelt but the background is moving at no more than a trot. How did they miss that?

I thought that part made sense. His horse is galloping through snow and making heavy weather of it I thought.

Movie is 2.5 hours but feels like 30 minutes. The CGI is pretty good I thought. The only thing that jarred for me was seeing the snow avalanche.
