Marshall doco

Post by J.D. »

Well worth a look. I didn't realise just how much Pete Townsend was involved in the development of the Marshall sound:

It's worth a look. I can't imagine carting around the 8x12 cabs Pete Townsend had to start with. No wonder the roadies bitched.

Pretty sure this is it but it's geo blocked. It was called "Play it Loud: The Story of the Marshall Amp":

Will have to watch this.

I don't play much anymore, but still have my Marshall VS100 head and 4x12" cabinet. Not the highest end Marshall, and it's a hybrid... but sounds awesome to me. I love it.

Great find and just showed me how little I knew about the man and his company the fact he knew nothing about electronics is outstanding.

I have a hybrid 60 watt Peavey and that thing is sooooo loud that I can't imagine having a 100 watt Marshall at home.
