Been a while, recorded something today. Don't play anywhere near enough these days, nor record for that matter.

Been uploading some of my old stuff, still haven't made anything new in quite some time.

However if anyone is interested I just keep finding stuff and popping it on soundcloud.

There's elements in your piece w00dsy that I've heard before in other songs and I'm buggered if I can remember the name but it's from the new romantics era I know that much. Sounded good though. I don't record anything so I forget a lot of what I do. A bit annoying when I hit upon something and I don't get it down.

*Edit* I remembered, The Cult.

i totally forgot about that thing, i came up with it, recorded it 10mins later and never played it again. It certainly does have a similar vibe to the intro to She Sells Sanctuary. The Cult were awesome in that era, Sonic Temple is still one of my favorite albums.

Here is something from my new band I am playing for. Not helping with the writing too much because of time constraints but I am playing for them live.

I acquired synth software. I have been getting bored so I am covering a song by Late of The Pier (some strange British band)

Also, purely because I can, just had to make one of those little annoying 90's esque synth riffs.

I like your massive demo 3.!!

I've been mucking about with an Ableton Live demo recently. I think Armand van Helden needs to watch his back!! not.... :p

Ableton is a fantastic bit of kit to have! You'll be surprised what you can do with it.

Another one, this time a bit more laid back. Wrote it in half an hour.

Uploaded a small tune I made last year, can't see myself adding to it now so it goes to the collection.

Big guitar, fast catchy licks and the necessary pinch harmonics.

A good mate of mine has uploaded some new stuff:

http://sirdonalddust.bandcamp.com/

For reference, the image he has used for the album cover (Hermits and Mermaids), I shot at my place, (he had no idea I was taking the photo) he was reaching up to the very top of my vinyl collection, perched on two chairs.

Let me know which tracks you prefer. . .

I've just spent the evening chilling with that in the background. I think it's that lo-fi sound that makes it sit nicely. Not sure which track I prefer.

Anyway, we released our EP on Friday. That was frantic trying to organise it but we got there. Also got a show with some American band in January called mewithoutYou. Never heard of them but they must be decent if we have to charge $40 for tickets to our local venue at Gosford. Sheesh.

Grab it here for whatever price you like (free or otherwise)
