***URGENT**** Car Track combo for round 2.

Post by norbs »

Gents, it seems I have made yet another massive foobar for round 2. The whole idea of the comp was to slowly go through more powerful cars as the series went on.

Last round, we raced the XFG with aPower-weight: 92 W/kg (125 bhp/ton)

This round, I had the UFR, which I knew was more powerful, but didnt realise how much. UFR Power-weight: 223 W/kg (304 bhp/ton) :yikes: At the track I suggested, its going to be a bloodbath.

So I am suggesting a change. We race the slightly more sedate RB4. A 4WD thing that isn't as nasty. Also, after looking at that track, I wonder if thats a smart choice.

Can you all vote and give me some feedback please. Sorry about the stuff up, but those of you who have raced in my comps before will know this is nothing new. :)

Fair enough Haydyn. My main concern is the newer blokes in the comp. I dont want them thinking the funs gone out of it so early. And I dont know whether this will be fun in that combo.

No way Raceabout for newbies, way to uncontrollable.
we need controlled pace.
RB4 sounds a good choice.

Just been out with Ysu and Shinky trying different combos. I know it wont be popular, but I reckon the RB4 at BL reverse will be fine. It doesnt matter for the faster more experienced guys, becasue they will race well anywhere. I want to try and look after the few guys who are new to it all.

BL reverse may not be a track people like, but it does make for good racing. Well it has the couple of times I have raced there.

Your thoughts?

I voted 'fine', and in my opinion it would be fine for most ppl altho the rb4 is not a well-used car, and a bit strange indeed.
But...looking at the next race:
FZ50 @ Fern Bay Green Rev
The FE tracks are a bit tight...that may need a bit of checking too, as those big cars may be a little troublesome there.
besides, the fz50 is as hard if not harder to drive as the Rac IMHO

ps:
pls Norbs add me to the list (just a reminder)
thank you
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

Am happy with whatever you decide norbs, the car selected didn't seem too powerful..more that there's a tricky bit in the track which at speed woulda been bingle city :)

you say that like it's a bad thing ;)

South city classic rev isn't too bad, it just takes a gentle brake when entering the chicane. LX4 might suit that circuit a bit better. It can be set up to have a slight understeer so it's relatively stable.

unfortunately i won't be racing due to my company planning it's christmas function on that night.. i mean seriously, would you give up free beer and food? :D
