A1 Racing Gear Parts

Post by Robbo »

Hi all,

After an extensive clean up, I have a whole lot of stuff I'm looking to sell. If anyone needs anything from pedal sets, to potentiometers, controllers, buttons and springs, cables etc, give me a yell.

I have a lot of steering wheels done in suede as per the image below. These have been used on the A1 Wheels. I have a surplus. If you're looking at making your own wheel or cockpit setup, these could be ideal. Maybe you just want to set up a billy cart or other project. These are not street legal and can't be put into a motor vehicle. I'm asking $50 each but if you're interested in more than one, then we can come to some arrangement. I'm very open to offers.

Best way to contact me is by email at rob@a1racinggear.com.au .

Cheers guys.

I wonder if one of these will go on my Fanatec Universal Hub. My G25 rim has worked a treat, but it doesn't have any suede.

Expect an email from me!

The brake and accelerator potentiometer in my A1 GT's are pretty bad.
How much for replacements?

When I was developing the parts for the wheel, I tried to maintain currently used standards. The wheel has 6 mount points and the hub diameter is 70mm.

Just putting this here in case anyone wants one of these wheels from Rob. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Racing-Simul ... 43e02d1084

I've been using one on my G25 with a DSD conversion adapter for months & love it.... Feels like a real wheel not a toy & has a larger grip diameter too which helps.

Duke, whats this DSD adapter? I'm guessing that doesn't come with the wheels on ebay?

Every time someone has tried to buy something from Rob, or ask questions here he kinda disappears. I've always loved his stuff, and I'm sure theres some very good reasons why he sometimes goes MIA. But it makes me hesitant.

I bought my wheel from Rob from this thread & had no issues so can't really comment past that.

The DSD Wheel adapter: http://www.derekspearedesigns.com/wheel-adapters.html
From when I looked it's the most affordable solution to fit standard 70mm bolt pattern wheels to a G25.
I still run the standard G25 paddle shifters with no issue (I have large hands) but using the adapter does move the wheel out & further away from the paddles so the wheel ends up a bit closer to you.
I also bought 2 button switches from JAYCAR & wired them up back into the G25 hub connector. ;)
