From the thread about drifting, some people where intrested in LFS drifting.

How about orginising a drift comp? Pick out a section of a track and have battles!@#!@#11111oneoneone ;)

Who interested? I guess we can follow the D1 style drift rules and have judges judge passes. You and another driver will go through a "judged section", where you will be judged on line/speed/angle, then you reverse order, and go again. looser is knocked out, winner makes it to the next round.

I guess its something different, now days with all the events going around it feels like im constantly practicing for new tracks/cars when this will add a fun.

Put your name down if your intersted, if enough people are intrested we origise a day and have a go at it :)

If you need/want numbers, ill give it a go.
Im crap, but it will be fun... and as you say, a break from the hotlapping and competition the AAL provides.

you would have to state that the judges decision is final, since it's a very subjective thing to be judging. there a few drifters out there who get fired up very easily if you tell them the other guy won :eyepop: (not naming anyone) ;)

As far as a track goes, i must say the last few corners of KY national Rev are perfect for a drift comp.

but once again.. i have no clue...lol

Its good to have a few events like this floating around, with the drift, the Rally X and the Rally SS comp all going, its a nice change from the Norm.

lol :p

How about next Tuesday? 29th November?
Was thinking bl gp rev, up the hill past first split and the sbends into the left hander on the strait, everyone would have drifted that before, so it should be a good start place.

Basically, when your called up you will drive to that section, wait on the hill until I give the go (over teamspeak) then drifto, one person leads.
Then you pit, go back and do it again.

16 drivers? knock out, we need three jugdes, ill put my hand up.. tho I wouldnt mind racing, so prehaps a 4th so the judges can drive

If it turns out to be a success perhaps a d1 style league.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

Heh, I will have a shot but I can't drift worth a damn. Still, long as it's all for a bit of giggles then it should be some fun :)

Hmm. I'd have thought BL GP rev has had enough drifting. What about Aston Historic Reverse? I'd suggest the last few and possibly also the first few corners (the straight up the hill until the pit straight / back straight)
The corkscrew will be a hoot for drifting . Also as the track is rather wide, it'll make it easier for first timers to pass, which would be good for the first drift event..? (if there'll be more after this :p)

Agreed, well its Aston Hist Rev with the corner after the t2 split > through the corkscrew and then the last corner.

Im late for work, ill update the first post when I get home with the info.

Who's going to donate a server for next tuesday?
