Simbin bankrupt, closing down

The actual story in short is this:

“New studio, new location, new name, (almost) the same team. Be ensured that all development on the project will continue.

More interesting news to follow soon!”

Is that what happened to them previously?

Bankrupt and shut down. Then reformed as another studio?

Last time the original founders split to form Blimey! (which then morphed into Slightly Mad Studios). It was really the big financial backers that allowed Simbin to go commercial in the first place that stayed on. Now it looks as though most of the people that Simbin had brought in to replace the Blimey! guys will be off to form their own new studio.

Yep I wonder if they are taking R3E with them or is it dead in the water...?
I hope it carries on in some shape or form.

If did seem kind of odd that DTM got multi player and it didn't. Kind of annoying because it was still a beta.

Looks like R3E will continue as planned from a post on Race Department from Jay Ekkel.
There's nothing to worry about in regards to support of current games, or the release of future games. Content that has already been purchased will still function as normal.

Sector3 Studios Launched: http://sector3studios.com/
As it was first hinted at when news broke that Simbin Studios is facing bankruptcy, a new studio has been founded to continue the efforts of the Swedish developer.

Named Sector3 Studios, the new studio consists of most of the former Simbin staff and will continue to develop the RaceRoom Racing Experience title.

As part of the relaunch, Sector3 Studios have launched their official website that, as of now, only serves as a hub to all of the studio’s social media profiles.

With a major update for RaceRoom Racing Experience expected to launch very soon, the new studio should be off to a great start.
