BMW M3 Challenge

Post by Exar Kun »

To coincide with the official release of the new M3 at Frankfurt, Blimey have released a 1 car 1 track game featuring the new M3 at the Nurby GP track. Looks great and is pretty fun. Haven't tried multiplayer yet but it's in there. :tilt:

Doubt this will lead to extra sales for the M3's but still its free and good fun lol

Wish more automotive companies would do something similar :)

Pretty cool, its a free game and its pretty good fun :) Been a while since Ive played GTR2 so it feels like a fresh experience after all this LFS'n. I wonder if it will be possible to add GTR2 stuff to this? (Eg other cars, tracks :P)

http://www.m3-challenge.com for the download ~380 mb. Looks like there will be a competition going with it too!

Had a run at this online tonight. Did a 2:13.0 on my way to winning against a pretty mediocre field. Found out the Bilsteins are worth an extra 2 seconds a lap when I forgot to put them on for a race!

Great fun!
I turned all aids off and had a fang - it feels very different to other isi games.... it actually felt good.... :)

Decided I'd turn on ABS and DSC, just to see what the fuss is about with all these fancy new cars. Even more fun! very easy to drift with DSC turned on :D

I had a go at this tonight. Very nice. It has a good feel and looks nice. Did managed a 2:16.2x. 2:13.0 has me baffled.

Now come on Audi and Merc. Chop chop. An RS4 and C65 AMG would be nice!!!!

This is still an ISI based game and not a test of their new Lizard engine?

Huttu is in another dimension to most guys though. That guy should seriously get in a real car and stop messing about in sims.

Did they take each other out, or did you hack and use an F1?

Not a big fan of this, the force feedback feels all wrong and I have no idea what the car is doing under me. I guess if I had played some rFactor it might have helped.

LFS for the win!

Put up a quick MPR server for testing if anyone is interested.. pass is "arse", all lower case.

Should be easy enough to find, it's called [MPR] BMW Server, because I lack imagination.

Jump in and test it out if you like.. I'll leave the server running for the day.
