Intrigued by this. Windows 7 did most of it for you (with a couple of exceptions). Windows 8/8.1 do everything. ?

I watched a vid on Youtube that listed off a whole stack of stuff. When I went and checked them off a lot were done, 90% of them ide say. I had to turn indexing off tho, that was one that defiantly needed me to set it.

Here is one of the videos that covered off a fair chunk.
I really only turned off the drive sleeping and did the indexing. Most of the basic stuff in this was set.

Today I mainly had to get the triples sorted and lined up before I could do any bezel compensation.
My Obutto's right extension arm was a little sagging creating a 10mm difference. Problem was the right screen was jacked all the way up and the other 2 were at their lowest so I was a bit stuck. I took the right arm off and the bracket where it joined the main stand was not welded bang on, it was about 2mm out which just compounded... So I gave it a few whacks and had to turn the 1st arm around 180 degrees and whala, all 3 screens are perfectly aligned now.

Had a quick belt in AC this arvo. Frame rates are fantastic.
150-220fps hotlapping & 55-150fps starting from the back with 24 cars on track. :)

Just did the cable management on the whole rig so I might try and grab some overall photos.

Till now ive known that feeling well. 7 years since my last full build and saving for 3-4 years for this one whilst the kids were young.

Pretty much finished for now, few small things ide like to do but im more than happy with the outcome. Especially getting the triples to lign up perfectly considering the defects in my monitor stand.
Did all the cables last night and quickly fired up iRacing to try out the new BMW then spent most of my time in AC belting around in the special challenges. AC is freaking awesome!!!

Here it is in the room. Next step is carpet which was meant to go in before this build...

Friggin Awesome KNAPPO, well done & congrats on the build.

Have to ask what are you using for that shift display, is it an ipad or tablet running an app or something more sim specific?

Also good to see the trusty G25 still going strong. ;)
On that I'm thinking of buying a Richmotec Realistic Load Cell Brake Conversion for Logitech G25 and G27.
Be the cheapest option for me to see if I like a load cell brake.

Tablet is a Nexus 7 2013 running Dash Meter Pro which can be found on the Play Store. Dev is SENSADIGIT.

Dash Meter Pro for iRacing

I hadn't looked in a while but he has apps for RBR, GTR, AC (woot did not know this so I'll get this one today) and rF2.

iRace Dash - This was the first Android dash I was using but it's not as customisable.

I have a set of G25 pedals that Astro gave me with a load cell in them, might have to chuck them back in this rig till tax time this year when I'm tempted to get a Fanatec wheel and pedals.

Was gonna say with a cockpit and a pc like that. What are you doing with a logitech wheel haha. Definately get some fanatec gear. Well worth it!

Unfortunately it seems as if there are more than a few people who are having issues with the wheel and base. Then having to deal with the inept support :(

Yep hence why I'm thinking I'll just go with the Richmotech mod to start with. Then see if FANATEC lift their game locally, if they ever do.

Thanks KNAPPO, I did wonder if it was one of the dash apps you were using.
I was thinking of setting it up on my phone (Xperia Z) & jerry rig mounting it to see how that goes. :vibes:

Do it!

In the preferences .ini you have to add you phones ip address and you can assign multiple devices. In my old configuration I use to get my car dock and add the phone to the mix running a different data display or telemetry readout. Just need to look into another Arkon mount for my S4 cos my tablet one is rock solid.

This is another good one if you have a spare Android device laying about. My mum is giving me her old S3 in a few months time which I'm using just for this.

EDIT:
The Corsair Link software is pretty neat. Since you could add custom backgrounds I just had to shoot my pc.

That's an amazing setup dude. I look back at mine which was with first generation Eyefinity and it probably cost a similar amount of money with chunky bezels on 24" monitors and, of course, a much slower system. Relevant to ysu's cartoon I guess. I won't be upgrading anything in mine for a while yet. Four years old and it's gotten the least play out of any system I've ever owned thanks to a child... It hasn't even been switched on this year.
