Exactly!
it is a bit like the realism claims. That is bollocks, because you are sitting still in your home. Or, some people (who shall remain nameless Duke) who have shifters everywhere and complain about the sun angle!
Id love to build a cockpit setup mostly for comfort! Nowhere to put it though and I dont exactly have the cash to get all the bells and whistles.
I get the realism angle, you cant say knappos setup wouldnt FEEL more realistic than my 24" monitor sitting behind my g27 bolted to a desk. No one is under any illusion but it would be cool to sometimes doubt it
No one uses Thrustmaster stuff here? I really like the look and price of the 911GT2 v2 and elite pedal combo but all these warranty issues aren't reassuring.
The seating position of the cockpits would be really nice and may make heel/toe easy. I find that hard to do at the desk and my leg of late is annoying. Maybe one day I'll do something if I can find room. Rift will be awesome too. Trouble is it can become a long shopping list fast as I'd want a cockpit for my flight controls too...
I think I'd struggle to be more comfortable when racing than in this obutto r3v... sure, it's a bit of money, but if you know you'll be racing for a long time, or find a rig flexible enough for when you're tired of it, then you won't look back.

I am looking at the T300 GTE purely because I don't want to have to return a wheel WHEN it dies (Fanatec?) and it's brushless. It is $499 up the road at Scorptec.
Those DD's look awesome, I will have to try yours Duke when you get one
Just noticed that there is two variants shown on that site. One has a brushed metal finish, the other black. Both of these sport a different G logo in the ctr as well.
Life is hard...but, life is harder when you're dumb.

Speaking of a PS button, it's got every other PS button too, even the PS4's Share button. I'm guessing this one would directly compete with Thrustmaster's T300 RS.
As for pandering, I think they are. Logitech have used a poor excuse not to support their G25 or G27 on the PS4... makes sense if true, if you've got a new console we'd like to buy a new wheel.
Now to the other extreme of our great hobby... WANT!!!
On of the well-known names within the Sim Racing scene is Derek Speare designs. Besides button controllers, Shifters and various simulator related components, Derek also retails a pedal set based on off the shelf Wilwood racing pedals featuring a Brake, Clutch and Throttle Pedal.
The DSD Professional Grade Sim Racing Pedals are now enhanced with a totally new throttle arm and spring assembly. Doing this eliminates the need for any base plate, allows for a much more tidy pedal package and gives a throttle arm strong enough to stand up to eons of cycling. This is indeed the enhancement everyone has been waiting to see.
This new assembly also means that you can adjust the throttle-to-brake spacing from either the Standard Wilwood spacing of 3.62″ or you can move the throttle arm outward another 1.24″/29mm and have nearly proportional spacing from clutch to brake to throttle. DSD will ship the pedals to you configured with the “Wide Spacing” and if you wish to return to the stock spacing, they will include the parts necessary.
The DSD Professional Grade Sim Racing Pedals are on sale for 875 USD, shipped worldwide for free.
Features:
Wilwood Racing Pedals: Real world pedals for real world racing cars

norbs diplomacy lesson 101: "If I was putting words in your mouth, you'd know."
Considering just how much sim racing you do these days, and that "new" PC that is still to be built, possibly better to spend that sort of cash on that couch you are flogging.
