I recently had to send my clubsport wheel base V2 back under warrenty and it has been fine, besides the fact that they went cheap on the return courier and went with this company called sendle who clearly misplaced it in transit for a week.

Regardless of what people say on forums, the company still needs to follow these rules here in Australia. https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consu ... guarantees

I've just sent them links to the videos from my google drive in the past.

Any idea if the problem is with the rim or the base?

Maybe check to see if you have bent pins between the rim and the base. Would be handy if you had a second rim :)

Yeah. Pins are straight as an arrow. I had not removed the rim since getting the wheel 7 weeks ago so the pins cant have been bent.
Wish i had a second rim but i dont have $600 right now

Sad to see they haven't worked out their QC/design issues. The CSL Elite pedals have been pretty decent so far, occasionally I have to reload the firmware though, the pedal gets stuck at 50%. Hasn't done it in a couple of months though.

Hope you get it all worked out. I think my next wheel will be the TS-PC Racer from TM. T300 has been near Logitech levels of dependable, it just works even if the fan is a bit dodgey.

Well. Amazingly the next morning i booted it up and its been fine since.. no idea what happened.

My CSL pedals have been nothing short of amazing aside from a bit of a squeak coming off the brake which drives me nuts

Still put in a support call in case there's a known issue.

Ok guys, so my old Fanatec CSR wheel failed on Friday night (too much fun me thinks). The force feedback no longer functions and I can't really be arsed working out why.

Note this is after a re-flash and pulling the thing apart. The only way I can get it connected to the system is if I manually rotate the wheel to pre-calibrate before it can be detected by Windows. I can kind of feel some random jolts by the FF motor during this process, as well as some random resistance, but nothing permanent.

This wheel has caused me a lot of issues since I bought it...
  • I had the whole thing replaced just before the warranty expired because it wouldn't start up
  • I had to purchase a wheel face replacement (as it had cracked and buttons were randomly activating)
  • Shifter doesn't like going into reverse (could consider that realism)
And the pedals still cause me grief (these are CSR Elite's)...
  • I've replaced the load cell strain gauge twice
  • I've pulled them apart a few times to fix issues with the throttle not working correctly
So because of this I'm in the market for an affordable replacement.

For now the plan is to keep my pedals (as I have a stack of cheap strain gauges ready to pop in), but I'll need a new wheel, and maybe H pattern shifter (if it won't work with what I have).

Because I've been out of the sim scene for so long, does anyone have any recommendations? Would really appreciate the assistance.

Thanks for that Norbs.

I've had a look, but I don't understand the difference between the T series wheels... Apart from what they look like, what is the difference between TX, T150, T300, T500?

For example out of these 2, I like the look of the T300, but is it a better wheel? Note that I don't have either an Xbox One or PS4, only using this on PC and going to keep my current pedals. Will look at getting a shifter like this one (https://www.pagnianimports.com.au/brand ... h8-rs.html) at a later stage.

I think the TX is only the base, where as the others come with a wheel.

I don't know much about the Thrustmaster wheels but the TS-PC is quite good I heard, similar to a CSW v1 and at least on JB Hifi prices costs the same as the TX + Ferrari Rim I think norbs is talking about. I think these were the couple reviews i watched a while back.

For the PC, the T300 is better. The Ferrari TX is a bit cheap feeling, and the T300 have 1080 degree range vs 900 for the TX

Ok, I think I'm set on the T300. Now I just need to work out what rim I want, if I should get a shifter and if I should get some pedals.

I like this package: https://www.pagnianimports.com.au/thrus ... -th8a.html

But I can get a basic T300 for ~$400, if I can live without a shifter and use the pedals I have... As long as the throttle doesn't break on my CSR elites.

Is anyone using the TH8A shifter and T3PA pedals? And if so, how reliable have they been and do the pedals compare to a set with a load cell? Note that I have an original release CSR elite pedal set that is getting on in years.

As far as I can tell, that is the same as mine except for Playstation and has 180 degrees more lock. Nice one Astro.
