Download YouTube Vids?

So how do you guys do it, what are the best & most recommended programs, apps or plug-ins???

I use FF exclusively so need something that works alongside it.

For the life of me I can't remember the name exactly, but years ago I installed a plugin for Firefox that worked well that I think was called YouTube downloader. It gave you a download link on the page that you could select what quality stream you want , will have to wait till I get home from work to confirm that's the right name.

I used a plugin to block Flash and where possible select the HTML5 version of the vid. The bonus is that I can just Right click > Save as

I mainly browse on a desktop so not such a big concern. Haven't used FF for many a year might have to suss it out.
