Forum update done

Post by Big Kev »

Oooo look a global announcement :)

I've just updated the forum. It's a pretty major update and one which had so many code changes that I'm afraid the birthday MOD no longer works and neither does the big list of who's visited in the last 24 hours. I'll keep a look out for fixes though. As with all updates, it's primarily a security thing. Although the odds are low, it's not worth taking the risk just to keep a birthday MOD.

There's a couple of new things added though. I've been meaning to do the global announcement one for a while. This allows us admins to post in one forum and have the message appear in all the forums at once......which is nice.

Also, the morpheus and morpheus extreme templates both now have a built in image uploader. This uses no bandwidth for us, is run by the guy who makes these template styles and acts like photobucket. You click the 'Add image to post' link at the bottom of a post window, browse to your image and it auto enters the code for a linkable thumbnail to the image on their host. No dodgy pictures!!!

Finally, sorry to those who don't like morpheus extreme, I had to move everyone to one template to do the install (makes it easier) but you can move back to the one you like by clicking your profile link at the top of this page.

Any glitches, let me know. There's bound to be one or two I've missed.

Yes please keep that off :D

Also allows you to resize the window if you are multitasking...

Good work, and I have another vote to keep the forum width fixer disabled.
