Freebies. Photographic things you are giving away.

Post by norbs »

If you have any thing you are giving away, list it here in case some one on ARSE would like to benefit from your generosity.

Thnaks to Pix, it was his to start with and I have his blessing to pass it on, I have a Nikon FE film SLR to give away. It comes with a Sigma 24mm lens and a Nikon 135mm. I will get more details tonight. And a battery drive too.

There will be some more bits and pieces to come I reckon.

The sigma is a good little lens, I bought that new... The 135mm I got second hand about 15yrs ago and now has some mould :( Doesnt affect the pics too much but its there! Its also a bit stiff.. (unless norbs lubed it up a little )

The 24 is a great little lens. I was even considering trying to get some sort of whacky adapter so I could use it on another SLR I have. The 135 is still as stiff as Hurts at a Wham concert!

Hmm, dang, I would fair love this thing, But I feel the timing is out. I'm due for a move shortly so I don't see myself even using it for a good few months. Would also love the lens after already inheriting one of pix's already. I am not 100% sure I could really commit myself to Film either. So, I feel it might be better spent on another ARSE...

and i was stiff at the Wham concert cos that's what happens when they wake me up before I blow blow....

Actually, On that note, I'll be more than willing to give away the 50mm Lens I talked of just above to whoever grabs the camera. I used it quite a bit when I got it but now I have a newer 50mm for my DSLR I don't ever use it. So whoever grabs this, let me know and I'll sling you over a nifty 50 too... )oh, minus the UV filter, i am keeping that..lol

Norbs is this a mechanical camera?? im on the look out for one for astro photography, and for an assignment for this year where we have to run film through a camera (literaly move it through the camera while exposing etc).... so needs to be a wind on camera etc. I would sure get usage out of it. And if i feel i wont get much use out of it after uni, ill put it up here for anyone else who needs/wants it.

I'd be willing to offer a roll of 1 stop underexposed bw or color 35mm or 120mm film for someone to double expose, like this http://www.flickr.com/groups/urbandoubleexposed/ :)

Bloody oath it is. I wonder how you stop 35mm film from going back into the canister? And get the shots to line up?

My canonet has manual winder, so I can stop cranking before it hits the canister. Or you could use a film extractor (or a piece of sticky tape).
They don't line up perfectly - that's part of the fun :)

Good to know Markus. Might be worth a play around with, although the iconic architecture in Nowra is none existant. :)

So, who am I sending this Nikon FE too? Dex or Nige?

PM me your address details and I will send it down. If it is ok with you, I will COD it. I am sending a few things out this week for free and don't want to end up paying $50 in postage. :)
