Haha, yeah it's pretty sweet. I give them images & they let my use whatever outfits I like for shoots that I just want to just do for anyway. :)
That's cool! They have some awesome customer service there. I'll always go back to them now. Rather than the one in willetton.

Damn Arseholes...

lol. Ok, I'm gonna get picky. Cos I'm a bastard.

Horse is too big for where he is standing. That was the obvious stand out. It looks as though he is meant to be placed right behind that tree, however his feet are perfectly lined up with one of the background trees, suggesting either he is a giant in the background or he is hovering about half a foot above ground level.

the Light casts on the entire length of the tree on the right, yet only the bottom portion of the one on the right.

There are parts on the ground cover that distort the foreground, it bends my eyes, it looks warped. Particularly on the left hand side of the image.

The Female is clothed

That's about all i see wrong.

It's a big tricky image to work with. And to be honest. I tend to think your style looks better without full accuracy if you know what I mean. You shoot with a level of Fantasy in mind I would imagine, and it follows through in to the image. I tend to think things like the lighting that I mentioned are not such a big deal. And neither is sizing to be honest. But I always feel in composites that Feet need to look landed. If that makes sense. They need to look in contact with something. To me, the Horses feet don't look connected. That was the 1st thing I saw.

The one other thing that puzzled me is why she has bothered to climb on to a stump to gain a better vantage point, yet decided to squat down back to her original height..lol

The good things though, I really love your color palette, it's always moody, I love that. I think you have hit the level of Fog spot on, I quite often see people completely over do that. The Shots themselves are very very consistent on Perspective.

Love your works though man. I'd like to suggest you have a shot at a more surreal composite. something where sizing & angles are completely out of wack. You're moody palette could really benefit from some kookiness.

Fantastic & in-depth critique, you have a really great eye for picking up details.
Not picky at all, an honest critique is what I wanted & all the points that you mentioned are totally valid.

Thanks heaps for the critique, I appreciate you taking the time.

P.S. I didn't think about the squatting on the stump thing until after I did the shoot.....I'm telling everyone that there was a gap in the trees just at that height. (which was about an inch higher than she is). :)

Something about the first one, his left arm seems a little off??

Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, I had to much light falling on his arm & he's also holding his fist a bit funny.....I'll have another look at it.

Looking at the 2nd one again. . . I think the angle of the gun needs to change. There would be a certain amount of kickback from a fired gun, pointing more towards to sky after shooting??

Just a thought. :)

Thanks again. I don't really know anything about guns bit I imagine that if indeed they smoke after firing, that by the time the smoke appears the recoil would be over & done with.
Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Thanks Hz.

"Gravity"

I've wanted to do a levitation shoot for ages..this is my young neighbour.
I shot her laying on a couple of crates on the lounge, using a tripod, then shot the background without her in it. Then Emjay held the iPad in about the right spot & I shot that.
That part was pretty easy but after looking at it I thought it looked a bit plain & shot the phone, suitcase & teddy bear at home as an afterthought.

Thanks guys.

Nah JD, the girl in my avatar is Megan Fox.....well, at least the head is.
My neighbour is just 14 but she's always fun to shoot. Emjay & I have been photographing her fairly regularly since she was 8.

Thanks Richo, I had a strobe light about 15cm from her face.

JD, haha, it's impossible to tell her age from that image & my poor editing makes her look much older than she is.
It's actually still a work in progress...the more I look at it the more errors I see.
