Re: Jaguar F-type
More official pics wednesday evening.
I can't wait for the coupe version in a few months time. If my numbers came up I'd have that as a daily driver.

The other version with the central pipes (the s'charged V6?) looks awesome from the back too. Definitely a very sexy car. The XK never did it for me but this looks excellent - and for way cheaper too.

Re: Jaguar F-type
I love Jags - always have - but I think it's a bit... I dunno... predictable maybe. I like the back but the front is a bit too 'corporate nose'.
The E-Type is striking from any angle so as a follow up I'm a bit disappointed.
I appear to be in the minority, however

I agree that the front end isn't quite there but I just love that arse. I'll be interested to see how the coupe looks.durbster wrote:I love Jags - always have - but I think it's a bit... I dunno... predictable maybe. I like the back but the front is a bit too 'corporate nose'.

Re: Jaguar F-type
I don't think I like the rear of it too much, it looks a little bit stupid. Not too bad, though. It's just not a clear style, it gives me the feeling it tries to be too many things at the same time.
But the front is the one which looks really-really stupid to me.
From the full front, it's like a retarded toy with somewhat crossed eyes and a hugely wide, slightly grinning mouth.
But each to his own, I don't like most jag & Aston designs. Big exception is the xj220

Configurator is up if you want a play
http://rules.config.jaguar.com/jdx/en_xi/w5/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Big options list, even on the S model. I think I probably quite happily added 10k to my mythical bill!

Absolutely dead sexy. Easily the pick over the convertible.

That it is, better then the last few models.

Re: Jaguar F-type
My wife's not interested so I'm going to tell you lot instead.
I met Ian Callum - the bloke who designed the F-Type - last night. We were at an awards ceremony and he was given the Designer of the Year award. I caught him in the bar after the ceremony and then spent about an hour relentlessly barking at him about Jags and cars and shit. I had been drinking for many hours and was quite excited to meet him so I didn't shut up but he was extremely patient and didn't ask me to leave once.

Awesome! Also the guy who basically set Aston Martin's current design language.

So that's why it looks like an Aston...Exar Kun wrote:Awesome! Also the guy who basically set Aston Martin's current design language.
Still, the proper version looks far better than the cabrio.
