I can get the locknuts off if I really want to, that's not really the problem. I've spoken to a few of my rally mechanic friends and there are ways.
It's more than I'm pretty amazed that this issue has never come up for the Ford dealer before, to the extent that they have no idea what to do, and no procedure to follow.

Why not bypass the dealer if they've washed their hands of it and ask the head office support line, maybe they may offer a solution that the dealer is unaware of?
