I'm still super jealous of the Lotus. Would so love one. I keep trawling Exige ads on carsales but they've stopped depreciating.

cheers Darren

Mick - prices have stabilised. I have only seen 1 Elise cheaper than what I paid over the last year. That was recent and by quite some margin cheaper as it needed work.

Woohoo! Keep it on the black stuff all day? Mid engine would make me think twice about pushing too hard.

Yes it was at Symmons. Not many people attended so I could go out as much as I wanted over the 4 hours. First hour had the bus stop open (the bike layout) and tbh, I preferred that but it was nice to drive the full "V8" layout.

Kept it clean, first few laps were with an instructor to make sure we were OK and to give some tips on lines etc. I had Steve Glenney with me, VT will prolly know him, and he was great to talk to. Once he hopped out I was free to go out when I wanted to.

Was a top day. Makes me want an mx5 again.

No Steve. Hardly used the car up at all. Brakes n tyres are all good.

Overall, I was driving to my limits which are well under the limitations of the car. I couldn't afford to leave it there in a skip bin so I drove it as such.

Yeah, I know him.
One of the best rally drivers in Australia - especially on tarmac. Multiple Targa Tas winner.

Couldn't ask for a better instructor, really.

Lotus is off to the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania tomorrow for 2.5 months as part of a Lotus themed display. Will be there with an Elan or 2, a 51a which just makes me cum when I see it, an Espirit and more that I cant remember.

Hardly driven it since March but know I will miss it just cos it isnt here. Cool though. Spent yesterday cleaning it. Still has Symmons bugs on it.
