2015 Honda Civic Type R Destroys Nürburgring Record
"Destroys", 3 and a bit secs faster then the Renault Mégane RS 275 Trophy-R.
The lap car, notably, had its A/C, stereo, and front passenger seat removed, to offset the weight of a full roll cage—which Honda says was added “specifically for safety reasons and not to add rigidity.”
Vs
A standard car.
Renault Mégane R.S. 275 Trophy-R Nürburgring Nordschleife
Some play it safe on the merry-go-round, others go for the thrills of the roller-coaster.

I have a joke for you. I have a prediction that you are going to walk into a bar, my prediction was wrong and your wallet is gone.

yeah pretty poxy Honda didn't even specify what tires the car was using
"The tires come from "a major European tire manufacturer""
With the Renault, you can walk into any Renault dealership and be confident you could purchase the exact same car as the one that set its lap time
you can't say the same about the Honda
