Just upgraded the family car

Post by AstrO »

Thought I'd share our new 'family' car. It's a Holden Commodore Sportwagon VFII SSV Redline.

We decided to go back to one car a while ago, but took the opportunity to upgrade at the same time.

I have to say that I'm super impressed with it so far and it makes a fantastic sound.

It's a shame this is the end of the line for the Holden Commodore (and this is coming from a Subaru fan!). :(

Fun cars, though still has the bulky A-pillar and slim side mirrors.

Used to get about 12L/100km with the VE II Sportwagon, could creep to 17L+. With the newer engine seems to control that a bit more while making more power also.

Could turn to a collectors item.
Some play it safe on the merry-go-round, others go for the thrills of the roller-coaster.

I have a joke for you. I have a prediction that you are going to walk into a bar, my prediction was wrong and your wallet is gone.

I'm used to the A pillar and the small mirrors now, but that did take some time (had the sv6).

Luckily, the blind spot alert and reversing camera help with the small mirrors situation.

The sound it puts put It's still making me giggle. :D

Is it ok to feel jealous of my partner that gets to drive it every day while I catch the bus to work?

Yes it is.

I leave my newish XR6 in the driveway each morning and drive off in a Bitsushiti Hi-Ace
