....and we have GREEN!
Go! Go! Go! For round 2 of the LFS World Series...
Djakovic on pole, with a magic 1.23:430 lap. He's jumped the start!
Oh my, how unfortunate for the Croatian team...
This will definitely be an interesting race!

As we come round for lap 1, the field all gets through unharmed. Great start!
With the pressure of a stop-go penalty for the jump start, Djakovic works hard to stay infront...
4 laps down and the field has spread nicely.
Djakovic, Weingran, Haltof, Miljkovic, Virtanen and Tojavic have pulled away from the main pack, with some blistering fast pace.

The Serbia Miljkovic is pushing hard, and has turned his 8th off the grid into 3rd on lap 7...

As we come round for lap 11, the two front runners come together, and slide off, allowing Miljkovic to take the lead. You can hear the Serbian crowd cheer, as he comes round onto the main Blackwood straight...

Meanwhile, back down the field, a hard fought battle for 17th through to 24th position is taking place. With only seconds between them. Exciting stuff!

Then lap 12, the bad luck for Djakovic continues as he times out!

At the half way mark, Miljkovic has surged ahead, with a 6 second lead.
Another driver making progress is Staal from the Netherlands, improving his 11th off the grid, pushing hard into 4th.

A great battle between 2nd place Virtanen from Finland and Weingran the German is taking place, with Weingran attempting numerous passes but Virtanen holding fast....

Lap 27 Weingran grabs a nice run up the hill onto the start/finish line, taking 2nd place, awesome stuff!
Further back, Scott from USA is charging into 7th from a 15th start, Britains Whitehead is also having a great run, 24th start now into 13th. His team mate Baker is also enjoying a tremendous battle moving from 27th into 17.

Team Australia was also enjoying some fabulous, close racing, with Dyke coming from 27th into 19th with similar results for his team mate van Tuinen.
With 15 minutes left, Miljkovic has increased the lead by 11 seconds.
further back the field is spread wide, until we get to 18th position, where the battle rages between Dyke, Otero from Argentina, van Tuinen, Lontkowski from Poland and Bendl the Austrian.

With such a lead, Mijlkovic has an easy run to the finish line. Fabulous drive for the Serbian. Weingran holds for second and Virtanen comes home in 3rd.

Suspicious time-out from NIKI in my opinion... :)

Pure speculation on my part though...

Great write-up Quincy, I'm really glad you've gotten enthusiastic about this whole World Series thing.
