Cheap annual subscription $75USD
$75 for a year is pretty good with current exchange rates.

Nice, so instead of draping you over a barrel and doing you dry, they are now just going the grope in a crowded lift.

That'd be nice.DexterPunk wrote:Is there a $75 deal that's for ever??
Do you get decent quarterly patches forever with that deal too though?

The way it goes it may become 'free' (or one-off) at one point, and just get the money in via the content.
If there's enough people on it, it'd work nicely.

Ahh what the hell, I'm now subscribed until august 2011. NFI idea why, I don't race that much, I'm just a sucker for a deal.

Re: Cheap annual subscription $75USD
Very tempting, but I have recently shelled out for new cars and tracks to progress my career, only to find out that races don't count to progression if there aren't enough drivers in them.
If I can't progress, I think I'm going to get really bored with the same cars and tracks until mid 2011.
I think its worth the $24 saving to avoid burning another $75.
All sign up for the Jetta races damn you!!!!!

What combo are you racing Durrie?
The day the fast track licence system came into place I went from a D to a B just through time trials. Now that I'm a B I only race once a week on Monday nights... but this is causing my SR to go down.

Re: Cheap annual subscription $75USD
Skippy is the only option for D racing. Jetta series is just about dead now. Pretty shitty when you buy a car but nobody else seems to want to race it.
Cheapest options if you just want to advance:
If you want to race a B series like the Corvette:
Do 4 tt's in the Jetta and then do Solstice/SRF until you get your SR up for a fast track advance. Keep going until your SR is back over 4.0 and you can jump straight to the B series without having to buy any C cars.
If you want to race a C series like the Mazda:
Do Solstice/SRF races until your SR is > 4.0. Then you can just jump straight into the Mazda with your D license.
If you want to get to an A series you'll have to do either of the above. Mazda->Indycar or Jetta->Vette/Lotus->Indycar.
Racing up in the next series counts to MPR, so you can skip every license level. The number of tracks you have to buy for the lower series sucks now, but most of them are used in all series so it's not like you won't be using them next season. You also get 4 dropped rounds, so you can use those to skip a few tracks you don't want to buy. You don't have to own all the tracks to compete in the series. You just can't race it during the weeks where you don't own that particular track.
Use this page to see what series are getting races and at what time of day before you buy your next car

Summary if you work normal daytime hours:
Solstice: Any time
SRF: Most nights + weekend daytime
Jetta: Sunday midday
Skippy: Most nights + weekend daytime
Mazda: Sunday/Monday/Thursday nights + weekend daytime
Radical: Saturday morning
Lotus: Sunday midday if you're lucky
Corvette: Monday night + early Sunday morning
Indycar: Early Sunday morning
Riley: Sunday midday

Well, thats not what the forums said before this season. Post fact advice is kind of unhelpful.Quincy wrote:Because the Jetti is a snooze fest. . .
Its a pity its that or the Skip in D Class < 4.0. As I was planning on going to the Mazda for my open wheel fix, I purchased the Jetta for variety while I either got > 4.0 or ran the whole season. Though the timing of races, even if they were official, isn't really conveinient. I won my first iRace on Wednesday, but it got me nothing because 6 drivers isn't enough for it to be official.
I'm not buying the Skip just so I can buy the Mazda I really wanted.

Thanks Darren, I'll give it some thought. Only problem is Oldog keeps punting me in the SRF, so i thought I'd avoid him for a whileDarrenM wrote:If you want to race a C series like the Mazda:
