Podiobooks

Post by Nigel »

This seems the best place. This website offers free audiobooks from up and coming authors. Basically its a way for authors to build audiences and the stories are really very good. In particular Quarter Share which highlights how good some of these stories are.

There is also Audible as well. Which though paid, does offer a lot of books which are in print.

My wifey has been using Audible for ages and over Christmas, I subscribed as well. I only got one book and listened to it which was great. Since then I've accumulated 2 free credits so last night I cashed them in. The first book I bought 'read' for a bit over 3 hours. Last night I grabbed a few history books. One is just over 19 hours and the other is nearly 40 hours. Great value I reckon.

Agreed. The difference between a good audio book and a bad one can come down to the reader.

A lot of people I know that use this, follow the readers they like more then the subject of what the reader is reading.
