How are you finding the battery life with that Woodsy, I'm giving cm9 the flick i think, battery life has been terrible compared to the Telstra ICS rom I was running before, might have to give the latest Litening a crack next.

I got the bigger 2000 mah battery a couple of weeks ago so my battery has been good. But I've found the Fluxi kernel to be the best for battery life, closely followed by siyah 3.3.3. I found cm9 was really good on battery compared to some of the others i had. It seems to be different for every one. --VK-- is another really nice rom that had good battery life.

Yeah I've been running Jelly Bean for about 2 weeks on my Nexus using the Modaco rom.

It's silky smooth and I've found the voice commands to much better than siri on the iphone 4s at work.

This experience with the Galaxy Nexus being updated immediately has reaffirmed that I should keep buying nexus devices... The Nexus 7 is next I think :-)

Thought I'd finally install a custom rom on the old Desire HD. Mainly because I need Android 4.0 in order for Xbox Smartglass to install :)

First step is downgrading from gingerbread. Requires a data wipe. No problem.. google will sort shit out afterwards I thought. I had thought contacts etc were backed up online.. but apparantly not! doh! I have about 12 contacts from gmail come through. Think I'll leave this for tonight and work on the custom rom tomorrow :)

Verify that the correct USB drivers are installed on your Galaxy S2 to enable connectivity with the computer. Download Samsung Galaxy S2 USB drivers

The best way to make sure the drivers are installed is to install Kies, then uninstall it, this leaves the drivers behind, without that useless program getting in the way of Odin.

Also worth simply trying another USB port.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

i tried that, and using a different pc all together, different cords etc aswell :p i thought maybe i have to do a factory wipe before it will show up in odin on the pc, but i dont really want to wipe it and then it not show up and be stuck with nothing

edit: Kies fixed it, cheers Shonky :D

I personally leave mine unlocked and the rom in memory incase it goes bad while I'm out and about.

Thrown the Resurrection Remix® 4.4.2 KitKat rom onto my Galaxy S2 to see what it's like. So far so good, not outstanding issues and it runs well.
