Beef and Asparagus with Oyster Sauce

Beef and Asparagus with Oyster Sauce

Shopping List

1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
1/2 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
1 tablespoon Chinese Rice Wine
500G lean beef fillet, thinly sliced
Vegetable oil
Asparagus cut into thirds
3 Garlic Cloves
2 Teaspoons thinly sliced Ginger
60ml Chicken Stock
3-4 tablespoons Oyster Sauce

1) Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil and 2 teaspoons of rice wince in a NON METALLIC BOWL. Add the beef, cover, and marinate for 15mins in the fridge.

2) Heat pan/wok on high and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir fry asparagus for 2 mins and remove.

3) Heat another tablespoon of oil and stir fry beef in two batches for about 2 mins or until cooked through, then remove.

4) Heat another tablespoon of oil and add garlic and ginger before it gets to hot. Stir fry for about 1 min. Add the Stock, Oyster Sauce and 1 tablespoon of rice wine. Bring to the boil and reduce slightly. Will take about 1-2 mins and will start to turn alittle thicker. Add the beef and asparagus and mix though the sauce. Serve on rice.
