If you've got it connected to the net it should download the update when you next start the game up.

Patch for PS3 & 360 is like 2mb & seemed to change SFA in regards to any of the issues that the game had pre-patch. (for me at least).

23mb for PS3

I know it changed the tyre wear and fuel sim so that the AI suffers from it. And i haven't been held in pits for stupidly long amounts of time

After the most recent patch somehow I'm at the top of all sessions and winning races in the HRT, anyone else finding the same kind of thing? I'm about half a second faster than pole in the last 3 races now, before this I was mostly mid field. The difficulty settings are all as high as they can go.

Also wish there was a way to fully control the car in the pits, instead of it being locked on path and all you do is accel / brake

So has everyone given up on this game or too busy playing to make new posts? lol

I'm still enjoying it and think it was worth the money, but 2011 should be a really great game if they build off this one

Great way to keep the game alive.. now only if CM's could update also.. and people could run DERs.

Just bought this for the PC and I cant get the bloody thing to work!!!

The game loads fine and I can navigate the menu's, practice, qualify and run time trials... but I can't race! As soon as a race has finished loading and it's about to begin, it locks up. The same applies to when I try to run a benchmark, it loads fine but just as the grid becomes visible it locks up.

System specs...
  • AMD Athlon 1090T (6 core)
  • 16GB DDR3 RAM
  • 2 x ATI HD4890's (1920 x 1200)
  • Logitech Driving Force GT
  • Windows 7 x64
Note that I've already applied the following patch... http://community.codemasters.com/forum/ ... -race.html

Shit mate, what happens when the local PC whiz needs help? I cant offer anything really useful that I'm sure you would have tried. Display drivers etc? Hope you get it working, it's a good fun arcade racer / semi sim.

I'll add the other stuff I've tried...
  • 2nd Monitor enabled and disabled
  • Crossfire enabled & disabled
  • Updated drives & Crossfire profiles
  • Validated the install files and reinstalled the patch (through GFWL)
  • Doing your mum
  • Details written in this post... http://community.codemasters.com/forum/ ... ost15.html
  • Hell, I even tried CCleaner (which was never going to work but I was running out of ideas)
I was just checking to see if someone else had run into this problem and had found a solution, but I guess not. :(

PS I have it for my Xbox, but now everyone I know also has it for the PC and I'd like to test it out with my wheel.

Similar specs...

AMD Athlon 1090T (6 core)
8GB DDR3 RAM
ATI HD6900 (1920 x 1200)
G25
Windows 7 x64
2nd Monitor enabled

But.. it works fine for me, the only other thing to do is use the Crack.. that is what others have done.

No luck with the crack :(

The only other thing I can think of in my system that isn't stock is my RAID 0 setup on the AMD Chipset SATA Controller. 2 x 2TB WD Black drives, with 2 x 2TB logical drives, of which one is the OS that is also hosting my Steam install (note that Windows cant boot on a drive bigger than 2TB ;)).
